Jongo's Business Advice

Confession time....
As much as I say I've given up being an online business person, it's still in my blood. I love entrepreneurship. The thrill and inspiration you get from living your life on 'what will I build today' truly is unlike anything out there.
I did it for a long time too....Over 25 years of basically being my own boss and building a ton of online businesses. And along the way I had plenty of failures. Oh wow, numerous in fact. But the drive that entrepreneurs have within them is to pick themselves up and keep trying to build.
Throw things against the wall, and something will stick was how I lived my entrepreneurial life. For better or worse lol
Anywho, as I'm poking around Threads this week I came across some business talk. And obviously anytime people start talking business on $LEO my ears perk up.
Yeah, I'm not 'in the game' anymore but I'm always watching :)
The business talk started with my good friend @jimmy.adames and I sharing some memories of the good ol' days in online marketing. And something really stuck with me after all those years of building businesses....The community was always the most important thing!
People matter!
I think it's evident that I still keep in touch with many of the 'online marketing' folks from yester-year such as Jimmy and guys like @bradleyarrow and so many others because....We actually had a great community back in the day.
People STILL matter! Relationships matter!
And that's where I decided to spark some conversations of my own with a Thread where I put it out there...
"Business advice 101: When you make your community and customers feel valued, they will keep coming back. Treat people, like people...And not just a number."
Simple right?
You would be blown away at how many entrepreneurs forget that 'simple piece of advice'. In the digital age and this crazy world of AI we're in now, real relationships with real people matter.
If you ever want to start a business online please remember this as pretty much the most important marketing strategy you will ever hear....When you put people first, you will win. Every. Single. Day!
It's very easy to look at the numbers only. So easy to get caught up in charts and data without realizing that who is behind those numbers and piece of data represent real people. And they have real dreams, real goals and real passions. And if you remember that, instead of simply how many open rates you get on an email promotion, you again....Will win.
Let me rephrase this...
Putting people first isn't just a marketing strategy. It's really a life strategy as a whole. People will sniff out the snake oil salesmen a mile away, so it's important that you actually CARE, not just say you do...Do the little things for people that make them feel valued and if you do, genuinely do, they will be your customers and FRIENDS for life!
