In most cases, there's always a price to reaching the summit of a hike, the beautiful breathtaking taking views or a waterfall are always rewarding and worth the walk but for the Godley Head walk there is more to it than the views.
I surprisingly got rewarded with murals. These murals are so beautiful I might be able to enter them for two or three contests.
You can imagine the excitement when I found this. It was done by Wongi Wilson and located in the Godley Head gun battery.
I don't know any of the faces in the mural, but the beautiful work done in memory of those involved in the protection of Lyttelton harbor is worth admiring.
I have shared some of Wongi Wilson's mural in the past, and it was nice to see a familiar artist's work at Godley Head.
With the second photo of this post, I am entering for this week's contest.
