@ablaze, where all participants recommend music to each other. This week I was blown away by the new Evanescence song and Amy Lee's voice that still sounds as fresh as it did in the early 2000s. This weekend I wanted to have a marathon of this nu metal band, but beyond the new song, my favorites will always be their first album Fallen, and beyond powerful hits like My Immortal or Bring Me To Life, I will always recommend the whole album and all the songs that were not hits on the radios, but in our homes.

Esta semana me he dejado sorprender por la nueva canción de Evanescence y la voz de Amy Lee que sigue sonando tan fresca como a inicios de la década de los 2000. El fin de semana quise tener un maratón de esta banda nu metal, pero más allá de la canción nueva, mis preferidas siempre será su primer álbum Fallen, y más allá de éxitos poderosos como My Inmortal o Bring Me To Life, siempre recomendaré el disco completo y todas las canciones que no fueron éxito en las radios, pero sí en nuestros hogares.
Haunted will always be my favorite song, and I have never heard such a powerful choral symphonic delivery in this band's music as in this song. Like the rest of the album it's a dark track and sick lyrics, but for rock lovers it's glory made music and I feel it's Fallen's most epic sound. If you like symphonic rock you have to have this song in your playlists. I share this cover I recorded for week 138 of Hive Open Mic, and I give credits to this editing work by my friends

Haunted siempre será mi canción preferida, y es que nuca he vuelto a escuchar una entrega sinfónico coral tan poderosa en la música de esta banda como en esta canción. Al igual que el resto del álbum es un tema oscuro y una letra enfermiza, pero para los amantes del rock es gloria hecha música y siento que es el sonido más épico de Fallen. Si te gusta el rock sinfónico tienes que tener esta canción en tus playlists. Although all of us fans agree that the album is a work of art from start to finish, there are songs unknown to the general public that stand out, and Tourniquet is one of them. From the greatest pain and darkness comes this metaphor where you have to bleed to heal and obtain redemption, and although its lyrics are very dark it is one of the few songs by the band where I feel God is mentioned and they cry out for his help. Aunque todos los fans coincidimos que el álbum es una obra de arte de inicio a fin, hay canciones desconocidas para el público general que destacan, y Tourniquet es una de ellas. Del dolor más grande y la oscuridad llega esta metáfora donde hay que sangrar para sanar y obtener la redención, y aunque su letra es muy oscura es de las pocas canciones de la banda donde siento que se menciona a Dios y se clama por su ayuda. Taking Over Me is a perfect sample of the essence of Evanescence, and just like the previous ones, it could have been promotional singles and had the same results as their best known hits. It keeps the same style of lyrics, darkness, gothic sounds and all the power of nu metal. This album is more than 20 years old and I think their songs fit perfectly with the feeling of any era and any generation, it is a perfect work of art and it is music that describes strong feelings that we all usually live at some point. If you are young or someone who doesn't know this album, this humble review is the perfect opportunity to let it into your life.
Taking Over Me es una muestra perfecta de la esencia de Evanescence, y al igual que las anteriores pudieron ser sencillos promocionales y tener los mismos resultados de sus éxitos más conocidos. Mantiene el mismo estilo de letras, oscuridad, sonidos góticos y todo el poder del nu metal. Este álbum tiene más de 20 años y creo que sus temas encajan perfecto con el sentimiento de cualquier época y cualquier generación, es una obra de arte perfecta y es música que describe sentimientos fuertes que solemos vivir todos en algún momento. Si eres joven o alguien que no conoce este álbum, este humilde review es la oportunidad perfecta para dejarlo entrar en tu vida.
I have no idea what Afterlife is, in fact I have a couple of months without Netflix at home, but this new song by Evanescence is the soundtrack to this series. I love that they keep their original sound and stay true to their style, watching this video is thinking of an extension of my life in the 2000's and actually it does make me interested in the TV series, maybe I'll give it a chance, but the song has made me relive my passion for the band these days and I've actually felt with their company and the remastered versions of Fallen. No tengo idea de qué es Afterlife, de hecho tengo un par de meses sin Netflix en casa, pero esta nueva canción de Evanescence es la banda sonara de esta serie. Amo que mantengan su sonido original y sean fieles a su estilo, ver este video es pensar en una extensión de mi vida en los 2000's y de hecho sí me hace interesarme por la serie de televisión, quizás le de un chance, pero la canción me ha hecho revivir mi pasión por la banda estos días y de hecho me he sentido con su compañía y las versiones remasterizadas de Fallen. ¡Espero sea del agrado de todos, que tengan feliz Martes! ✌️
