Uyo report on listed businesses progress and way forward

Hello everyone, is me your fellow hiver and Uyo community guide on spendhbd project. Before I go on to give you details of this report,vI want to appreciate @starkerz and his team who are working tirelessly each day to make sure the project is running smoothly. I also want to appreciate all the community guides in different countries,states and local governments who are working hard each day and night in promoting Hive. It has been an awesome job. I see passion and willingness in all that you do to sign up members, businesses and keep on mentoring them.

Last month, I visited almost all my listed businesses to see how they are doing and how business is going generally. Report I got was so encouraging. Many of them are willing to promote hive to their customers and some had started like Judel supermarket, Emybuotique, madam success, Cabofagi and Ekamimi store. This ones love spendhbd and want it to continue.

In month of March, Judel supermarket had sales of almost 500 HBD and in April it was almost 300 HBD. From my interview and observation,, many parents traveled with their kids for holidays while some relocated to another place. There are some Hivers too who are not really shopping with HBD claiming they were busy. This call for more work on my side to make sure I do weekly workshop and after workshop take them to nearby business so that they will shop what they need with HBD.

Another thing I observed too was that, since we stopped Shokin day, it also affected our group shopping in listed businesses so I am planning to restore it this month so that as a group, they will be able to shop regularly. You know some person's need continuous push before they will start.

One of the challenge some business has is that, where they are, we don't have Hivers who will shop with them while some has pay much to reach listed shop. Right now, my plan is to keep on onboarding new people, mentoring them so that we will have more people that are shopping with hbd in their shop. I am making serious arrangements on that so that, we will do serious hive promotion to bring in more people on Hive. More people more shopping.

I know very well that challenge is what makes us strong and as a community guide, building a strong team is what will help me to onboard more. and business owners. I am also looking at adding some incentives like recharge card or support them with transport money so that, they can call their guest to attend workshop on our workshop day. Anyone who love blogging and shopping will never fail to sign up after listening to the presentation. For example, Mr Matthew couldn't go back after listening to hive/hbd presentation.

precious-01 assisted him to sign up and make his introduction. He was happy that as he reach house, he narrated the hive story and 2 of his Son's came to me to learn how to mke post on Hive. That is the power of workshop. Even though he can't write daily because of he is a pastor pastor but his children will continue to write on Hive.

After our last two workshop, @nemzy was able to make her workshop post. I didn't allow her to without making a post. Write now, I always announce that, all who are newbies should prepare a post before coming to seminar so that at the end, I will guide to make the post in the right community. This has helped so many of them to continue to write on hive. You can't come for mentorship without making a post of what you have learned. With this I will be able to help many.

One of my plan this month is to make sure business owners are active in promoting spendhbd to their customers. To make sure Hivers in my community invite others be doing team contest with them. To get my promotion banner ready. I also want to activate spendhbd in other states in Nigeria. I have 3 states in mind this year, Akure, PH, Imo state. I also want to get more trusted community guide in Uyo who will help in listing businesses in their local governments and that will help our spendhbd promotion to be known in so many local governments in Akwa Ibom State. From today, arrangements on Akure spendhbd activate will start. I will continue with my chat with other leaders so that they can take the necessary step to qualify as a community guide in their state.

In conclusion, I am out for hive and spendhbd to give my best despite tight schedule. Online and offline, onboarding and mentoring, listing new businesses and helping old ones, making sure they have SpendHBD logo in their shops is my main goal now.
