A test result disheartened me just around midday, so before succumbing to a pity party, I went out of the house, leaving the LilGuy playing in the living room. While the street down the property is usually empty and quiet, my feet led me to the rugged path leading up the hill. It seemed the best place to pacify my broken heart and spirit.
True enough, the little things out there helped me shift my mood and perspective.
And aha! A new shrub? Or is it a tree? My first time seeing this kind. Its leaves are shiny and huge! How long has it been since my last trip there? (I don't even remember). But yes, something on it lit me up like a kid who just found a toy or something.
Yep, the shadows took my attention, lol! And while taking some photos, I heard some people murmuring loudly in the distance. Maybe they even saw me in an awkward position, and wondered what I was doing, but I didn't bother to check where or who they were.
I can be snobbish at times, lol!
Anyway, I was back at the house before I got burned by the scorching heat. And the hubby called saying two of my first cousins were coming with him for a visit. They had been curious about how life is treating us here in DD, and they may have set the time to check us out today. Thank goodness I'm feeling okay now. A little walk turned out to be what I needed.
I'm ready for some hardcore teasing, a shot or two of tequila, or maybe beer? We will see what the guys are up to when they arrive soon, but first, let me quickly freshen up, lol!
