Happy Chooseday ๐ did you remember to choose happy today? (and everyday, of course) Did you know it's also Earth Day today? I hope you did something good for the planet. ๐ A week ago, I was looking forward to a long weekend. Amazing how fast time flies indeed! ๐

I'm committed to my road to wellness for this year. It's crazy how I did not think of it before and waited a long while before I started seeking ways to get better. I think in a way it's 'coz I was still mourning the loss of Mom. Her fourth death anniversary is coming next month. Although my perspective on life has tremendously changed, I feel that I can somehow start adapting to my current situation and embrace the mobility issues I'm having and also find ways to make the best out of my situation. That's the record of my steps from yesterday (Monday). It started as an experiment last Saturday. Now, I'm committing to a daily hour away from the keyboard to dedicate to my walking exercise outside the flat. My target is at least 1500 steps daily. Believe it or not, that's already a bit painful for me and I could not walk much without the aid of my cane. I persist. I do want to get better. If not, I'd get used to the pain that I can make more steps easily next time around. ๐
Yup, it's me pushing myself a little once again. ๐
Today after work, I took time out to walk to a nearby bakery shop and bought myself some bread. Along the way, I passed by the neighborhood Chinese restaurant and ordered take out of a noodle dish (chami). I enjoyed a little for dinner and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Prices increased once again. The last time I ordered it cost around 210PHP (3.72USD). Today I found out the price is now 225PHP (3.98USD). That's roughly 7% increase for one dish alone. Now I'm really choosy when it comes to eating out. ๐ I swear everything's so expensive these days. Now more than ever, a simple lifestyle is more practical.
Prompt A Day : Quote
"The best way to predict the future is to create it." - Peter Drucker
shoutout to @shadowspub for the daily prompt (subscribe to her newsletter) Now that's one familiar quote and name. I've read it in management books when I was at the University. Management 101. The basics of management we needed to learn as one of the basic major subjects back then. Interesting that Peter Drucker is considered the "Father of Management". I'd say I try and put to good use whatever I've learned and apply it in my life. Yup, life management is something I'm totally into today. If I could work as a manager before, I think I'd love to be a manager of my life more. ๐ Life has become simpler for me, and I'd say I like it as it is. I do get to manage my day to day life. It's funny how most folks take that for granted. I've come to realize to put as much importance in my life as I do for my work. ๐

Eight days left in the month. Are you counting down too? Well, I know I am. I wish though that the coming month of May will mean cooler weather for me. I pray cooler weather comes earlier or at least on time. Last year, it was hot as hell up to the month of June. No fun. Do send some rain my way if you're having more than your fair share of it. My plants are drying up faster and I can only water it so often (twice a day). I miss having help from Mother Nature in the care of my plants. ๐๐งโค๏ธ๐ก
I actively work on these affiliate sites daily. Right now my main goal is reaching another payout on LL. I'm almost there.. less than twenty cents to reach $10.
All righty, I'm feeling a little tired now as the heat does take a toll on my energy. Then when it's time for cooling (around eight in the evening onwards..) I start getting drowsy. ๐
Alas, I simply love the comfort of cooler temperature esp. near bedtime. ๐โค๏ธ๐ก Have a lovely week ahead. Nighty night from Manila. Ta-tah! ๐
