**Hello world!** I'm Honinbo. I live in Turkey. I am studying at university and working on my own business. I've found that newcomers usually start by sharing a photo when introducing themselves. Living in this small town where very few people live after living in the city center for many years has pros and cons. Although Steemit intrigued me at the time, it seemed too complicated. Then, a few days ago, a question came to my mind: "Is Steemit still alive?" So I did some research on Reddit and found out that Steemit has lost its influence and the community has spawned the Hive Network. My next question was: "What is this Hive?" After a few hours of research, I felt a lot more excitement than I did on Steemit. Because Hive, unlike Steemit, is a decentralized system that belongs entirely to content producers. First of all, I am not an engineer or a software developer. I'm into technology, but not a professional. For this reason, I can't talk about the technical differences between Steemit and Hive. But as an internet user and a content creator, I can say that Hive offers different options than any social media platform I've seen so far. Everything here belongs to the curators with all rights and the owners of this place are the curators. At this point, as a newcomer, I would like to talk about the fact that I am sure all Hivers are aware of: Man, this place is so complicated. It can take days or even weeks to figure out what's what. Luckily, I came across @ryzeonline 's fantastic beginner's guide and learned what all these terms mean, how to get started, and the community's etiquette. I started my university life with journalism. I loved the department, but my priorities changed and I left the faculty at some point. Afterward, I never did journalism professionally, but I have created several blogs in my native language where I share and comment on the news I follow from the World. So I plan to create content in the same way. I also love to share analyses, critiques and essays on topics that interest me. I haven't made clear decisions about what subjects to focus on yet.
