En mi familia hay una actividad que hacemos todos juntos y nos encanta: nadar. Recuerdo que mi abuela siempre bromeaba con mi madre y le decía que al parecer había parido peces en lugar de niños, ja, ja, ja, así que se imaginarán lo mucho que disfrutamos del mar, la piscina o el río. Por eso, cuando visitamos a mis padres en Caripe, mi papá nos llevó a una pequeña poza cerca del centro del pueblo que, entre semana, no recibe visitantes, ya que sus aguas no son profundas.
Sin embargo, nosotros disfrutamos de nuestra tarde allí porque teníamos todo el lugar para nosotros y el agua estaba helada, algo que valoramos mucho en esta época en la que el calor reina en este estado. Aunque debo confesarles algo: los ríos me dan un poco de miedo, pero un poco, ya que hay muchas hojas y peces, por lo que cada vez que me rozan me invade el temor de que sea algún animal peligroso. Es un miedo que me acompaña desde que, de pequeña, nos encontramos una culebra cerca de un río.
Además, el paisaje es precioso, porque estábamos rodeados de montañas y te sientes conectada a la naturaleza, sin los ruidos ni la contaminación de la ciudad. Lo único que nos faltó fue llevar algunos aperitivos para compartir, pero bueno, si volvemos, queremos hacer un picnic en familia. ¿Qué les parece este pequeño río?

However, we enjoyed our afternoon there because we had the whole place to ourselves and the water was freezing cold, something we value very much in this time of the year when heat reigns in this state. Although I must confess something to you: rivers scare me a little, but a little, as there are many leaves and fish, so every time they brush against me I am overcome with the fear that it is some dangerous animal. It is a fear that accompanies me since, as a child, we found a snake near a river.
Besides, the scenery is beautiful, because we were surrounded by mountains and you feel connected to nature, without the noise and pollution of the city.
