When you are trying to earn someone's respect, the greeting, "I respect you for your accomplishments," is not always the ideal choice because it can come across as condescending. Regrettably, our culture is getting more egocentric and heartless, and as a result, we are witnessing an increase in the frequency of disrespectful behavior.
