Waiting

I've spent some time in waiting rooms like most other people have.

Doctor's and specialist's waiting rooms, dentists, lawyers, accountants and countless other waiting rooms besides. I'm not a huge fan of waiting around and those waiting rooms are often cesspools of germy fucken humans, but it's sometimes unavoidable.

Recently I was in the hospital because I've got an ongoing health thing which will kill me if I don't keep on top of it and I found myself, of course, in a waiting room. What was I doing there? Well, I was fucken waiting of course!

Anyway, whilst I was waiting the two ladies at the reception desk were talking to each other.

Loudly.

Way too loudly.

The conversation wasn't really bad per se, but they were talking very loudly and the discussion and comments were inappropriate for random patients in the waiting room to hear. I say patients, but in truth is was just me.

Still, it felt quite unprofessional and it sort of bugged me that those two people seemed not to care that I could overhear them. I probably shouldn't be overly surprised I guess, people seem quite oblivious to others and don't seem to care that their conversations are overheard these days; in fact they often broadcast all their personal stuff on Facebook without a second thought, so why not in person? Fucken weirdos!

Anyway, I figured I'd put this out there and ask if you've had any similar things occur like overhearing an inappropriate conversation, or any interesting or odd situations that have occurred while you've been in a waiting room.
