I've been active on the Hive blockchain since August 2020. More than five years I've been active mostly on a daily basis. I've shared my content engaged with others, made friends, started projects and really had fun.
But in the last few weeks it has become more and more a drag to me. I feel responsible for the projects I'm running on Hive; @Topcomment, The Cycling Community, My Friendlymoose Photo Contests #fpc and my weekly Hive Photography Contests Blogs).
On a daily basis I log in to do the upvotes and other tasks needed to keep these projects running smoothly. I started these projects because I think they add value to Hive. But now I've been running a couple of these projects, the daily need to 'maintain' them has started to put me off a bit.
Apart from that I cannot find a lot of inspiration nor energy to create new, interesting content either.

This is the reason why I have decided to take a break. I'm not quitting Hive. I'll still take a peak what's happening and maybe sometimes post a blog when I have something I want to share.
Bur I'll also stop with my projects on Hive.

Topcomment

One of the projects I've started and have been running for almost a year now is the @topcomment curation service.
It's a projects that supports and rewards engagement on Hive by upvoting high quality comments.
I'm happy that this project will continue even when I will be gone for a while.
The Topcomment team will continue curating without me and I've given @incublus the control over the account.
I wish @incublus and the rest of the curation team succes with the continuation of this project!

Photo Contests

Apart from Topcomment I've been running some other projects. I've just finished the last round of my Friendlymoose Photo Contest (Formerly known as the POBPhotocontest) that has been running for 189 rounds. That contest will stop, but there are quite a few more photography contest on Hive to join.

Cycling

A couple of years ago I created the Hive Cycling Community. It has grown to over 600 subscribers, but it never really got that active as I had wanted. And I never managed to make it really an active community and attract people from outside Hive.
I'm abandoning this community. But if there are Cyclists on Hive that want to take over this community, don't hesitate to contact me and I'm willing to give over the control of the community.

I've had a lot of fun over the past years and I've made quite a few new friends on Hive. But it's time to give it a break for now. I'll peak in here every now and then and might even create a post every now and then.... But for now I'm going for a long break! Thanks for everything!
