My GoalIt is always a good idea to set yourself goals. That is what I like about the Saturday Savers initiative. I've created a few Saturday Savers blogs in the past which 'forced' me to keep a better eye on my goals; if I was on the right track and what I could do to bring me back on track when I didn't. Somehow I stopped making these blogs along the way and my goals weren't as SMART as they used to be.

Hive Photography ContestsThere are a lot of cool photography contest on Hive. A lot of them are organized weekly. Some of them have the same or recurring themes where others have new subjects every week. It's fun to compete in them and you can even win some upvotes, Hive or other tokens.

The theme for this week:On this blue Monday I have chosen BLUE to be the subject for the next round of the #POBPhotocontestLet's make this blue Monday a bit more fun by making and showing pictures with nice and happy making blue things. I found the following photo in my archive that would be perfect for the contest. I took it during a recent concert I visited.

What is Snaps?Snaps is one of the microblogging tools on the Hive blockchain. Before the launch of Snaps back in October there were already a couple of other microblogging tools like buzz, Threads, Waves, and Moments. I've tried a few of them before, but since PeakD is my default front-end, an integrated microblogging tool was perfect for me, so I tried it out. Snaps can be found here: Microblogging is writing short form content which is stored on the Hive blockchain in the form of comments. Snaps messages have a maximum length of 280 characters. You can use markup, images, links and polls in your messages. The comments are stored in a Snaps container and do show up as posts in the Snaps interface.

A cold ride in the morningToday, I had planned a bicycle ride with some friend in the morning. It has been cold and foggy all week and this morning it wasn't any better, so I dressed up for the occasion. My Goretex lobster gloves are quite warm and I had put on some layers of clothing. The only things that got really cold after a while were my feet. And that even despite the fact that I had insulated covers over my cycling shoes. But especially driving along the canal the wind made it very cold. We decided to change the route a bit since the cold and fog also fogged up our cycling glasses.
