And that gives me to understand that the popularity of Donald Duck at the time was quite large to the point of rivaling the face of Disney, that is, Mickey Mouse himself and personally I like Donald Duck as a character much more than the rat, he is much funnier and has a pretty iconic voice. Not at all, since the strong point of this game is its gameplay and art style, so we are facing a game with a simple plot level, like 99% of the games that share its genre. Magica De Spell, the main villain of this video game has stolen the first penny with which Scrooge Mc Duck had started his fortune, but also, as if that were not serious enough, she has also kidnapped Donald's nephews: Huey, Dewey and Louie and they have been distributed in different parts of the world. So now, as a good uncle Donald Duck must embark on an adventure to save his nephews and recover the stolen penny by Magica De Spell and her henchmen, it should be noted that this villain did not remember her at all, but it turns out to be a character that has already appeared in different media and series. Visually it is a pretty nice game, very colorful and its color palette is quite bright, something that fits very well with all the "childish" Disney theme. Despite its graphical limitations it is a game whose pixelart is beautiful, highlighting especially the design of our protagonist, being able to observe that each pixel that makes up its design was very well implemented in the creation of the final design of this character.

The expressiveness that can be seen in Donald is very good, so we are not in front of an inert sprite of a character, but they managed to capture very well the characteristic personality of the most famous Disney duck. The scenarios have a great variety of design because we will go through different parts of the world to fulfill our purpose, so in addition to the wide variety of scenarios that we will go through, these also have a pretty good design, maintaining a high quality graphics and decorative level throughout the duration of this game. The final bosses are very good, somewhat simple but their sprites are very well done, as well as the common enemies that have varied and well done designs. Volviendo con los juegos basados en personajes de Disney, traigo de vuelta un juego protagonizado por El Pato Donald y me estoy dando cuenta que este personaje cuenta con un catálogo bastante respetable de juegos en los que es el protagonista o al menos comparte protagonismo con otro personaje (siendo este Mickey Mouse). Y eso me da a entender que la popularidad de El Pato Donald en su momento fue bastante grande a tal punto de rivalizar con la cara de Disney, es decir, el mismísimo Mickey Mouse y personalmente me gusta muchísimo más El Pato Donald como personaje que la rata, es mucho más gracioso y cuenta con una voz bastante icónica. Por lo que nuevamente traigo un review de un videojuego donde este personaje es el protagonista y por primera vez, sino me equivoco traigo la review de un juego para la Master System, un juego de plataformas sencillo, divertido, visualmente bonito y sin muchas pretensiones, un juego para entretener sin más, pero muy bueno.

¿Es necesario tener una historia profunda y con giros de tramas inesperados para un juego de plataformas? Para nada, ya que el punto fuerte de este juego es su jugabilidad y estilo artístico, por lo que estamos ante un juego con un nivel argumental de lo más simple, así como el 99% de los juegos que comparten su género. Magica De Spell villana principal de este videojuego ha robado el primer centavo con el que Rico MacPato había empezado su fortuna, pero además, como si eso no fuese ya algo bastante grave también ha secuestrado a los sobrinos de Donald: Hugo, Paco y Luis y han sido repartidos por distintas partes del mundo. Por lo que ahora, como buen tío El Pato Donald debe embarcarse en una aventura para salvar a sus sobrinos y recuperar el centavo robado por parte de Magica De Spell y sus secuaces, cabe destacar que a esta villana no la recordaba para nada, pero resulta ser un personaje que ya ha aparecido en distintos medios y series. Visualmente es un juego bastante bonitico, muy colorido y su paleta de colores es bastante brillante, algo que encaja muy bien con toda la temática “infantil” de Disney. A pesar de sus limitaciones graficas es un juego cuyo pixelart es hermoso, destacando especialmente el diseño de nuestro protagonista, pudiendo observar que cada pixel que conforma su diseño estuvo muy bien implementado en la creación el diseño final de este personaje.

Cuenta con excelentes animaciones, lo cual es muy importante para un juego de plataformas. La expresividad que se puede ver en Donald es muy buena, por lo que no estamos ante un sprite inerte de un personaje, sino que lograron plasmar muy bien la personalidad tan característica del pato más famoso de Disney. Lo escenarios cuentan con gran variedad de diseño debido a que iremos recorriendo distintas partes del mundo para poder cumplir con nuestro propósito, por lo que además de la gran variedad de escenarios por lo que vamos a recorrer, estos también cuentan con un diseño bastante bueno, manteniendo una gran calidad gráfica y a nivel decorativo a lo largo de lo que dure este juego. Los jefes finales son muy buenos, algo simples pero sus sprites están muy bien hechos, así como también los enemigos comunes que cuentan con diseños variados y bien hechos. No esperes un juego con una capacidad grafica sobresaliente, pero es un juego que sin duda con sus limitaciones gráficas y de la época, es realmente bonito y eso vale totalmente la pena.

Musicalmente también es una maravilla y no es algo de sorprender ya que por lo general, los juegos basados en personajes como Mickey Mouse o el mismísimo Pato Donald cuentan con una banda sonora muy bien hecha, que logra plasmas de manera muy adecuada la tonalidad alegre y de aventura de la situación en la que nos encontremos y para este juego no es la excepción. Lucky Dime Caper Starring Donald Duck (Master System) es un juego fácil, realmente no hay un reto sumamente difícil que superar, pero debido a la simpleza de sus controles, los cuales son fáciles de aprender, lo hace un juego bastante divertido, aunque también hay que destacar que no es un juego largo y se puede completar en 40 minutos. Mantiene la línea de los juegos más clásicos de plataforma donde debemos avanzar por los escenarios, superando obstáculos, saltando sobre enemigos para evitarlos o golpearlos ya que Donald cuenta con martillo gigante de madera como arma principal, la cual sirve para, como ya dije, eliminar a los enemigos y enfrentarnos a los jefes finales. Realmente es un juego entretenido y sin muchas pretensiones, perfecto para pasar el rato al contar con los elementos más típicos de los juegos de plataformas.
