This is one of my favorite seasons, and I couldn't help but show you this beautiful temporary garden. In my country, there are no defined seasons, so I call this season the pink season.
En mi ciudad, hace muchos años, el encargado de los parques se propuso pintar la ciudad de rosa en una breve temporada del año sembrando un tipo de árbol con muchas flores rosadas. Nosotros le llamamos árbol de apamate, pero su nombre cientÃfico es Tabebuia rosea, y este parque está lleno de estos árboles, asà que aquà tienen una caminata muy rosada.
In my city, many years ago, the parks manager decided to paint the city pink for a short time each year by planting a type of tree with lots of pink flowers. We call it the apamate tree, but its scientific name is Tabebuia rosea, and this park is full of these trees, so here you have a very pink walk.
La verdad, todos estamos un poco obsesionados con el rosa de la ciudad y es un tema de conversación por esta temporada. Hoy fue el dÃa perfecto para ir al parque: no habÃa mucha gente, habÃa una brisa suavecita y todo se sentÃa en calma.
Honestly, we're all a little obsessed with the city's pink color, and it's a topic of conversation during this season. Today was the perfect day to go to the park: there weren't many people, there was a gentle breeze, and everything felt calm.
Mientras caminaba, pensé en lo fugaz que es esta experiencia y en lo bonito que es que todos admiremos este breve momento. Algunos hacen videos, otros se hacen fotos y algunos solo disfrutan el regalo que nos dejó alguien que se nota que amó mucho esta ciudad.
As I walked, I thought about how fleeting this experience is and how beautiful it is that we all admire this brief moment. Some make videos, others take photos, and some just enjoy the gift left to us by someone who clearly loved this city very much.
