He's baaaaaacccck! Sorry all for my absence, my spare time has been few and far between lately, but I could not bring myself to pass up the chance to whip out a 90's cover. This one in particular goes out to all the ladies who have ever dealt with a man who just wasn't worth their time or effort.
After a much needed hiatus to get my house in order, I AM BACK!This week, I decided to do a song that many of you probably know thanks to Lauryn Hill making it famous many years ago called "Killing Me Softly". It was actually composed originally by Charles Fox with lyrics by Norman Gimbel in collaboration with Lori Lieberman in the early 70's. I hope you enjoy!
For those that got the physical claim cards for the special NFT i made for HiveFest, bear with me. We’re working on what happened with the site and I will leave them open to be claimed for at least 5 days once we get it fixed (and will let you all know once that is live).
In keeping with this week's theme, I decided to re-imagine one of Sam Feldt's most popular songs, "Sleep Tonight (This is the life)". This song perfectly captures a moment that was all to familiar to me. That moment when you find yourself entranced by the rhythm of another and there's only one road ahead.
Since this week I was visiting with my family, I thought it would be appropriate to have my mom join me on my submission! She's been one of my major inspirations for my musical journey and recently she and I have started working on some collaborations. We managed to learn and record this one in about 20 minutes!
For this week's entry, I decided to perform a song that is dear to me and one that has traveled with me through many years of my music journey. The original composition, "Platinum Frame" is a song about heartbreak, and about letting go.
