The Splintertalk SPT token has finally received utility with the announcement of the SPS airdrop by Splinterlands. Starting in July, held SPT will receive 0.25 SPS airdrop points per SPT. This does not mean 0.25 SPS per SPT, but with DEC pegged at 1 for 1 in SPS airdrop points, we can form a basis for valuation.

Airdropped Beta Legendary SummonersThe five Kickstarter Beta Legendary Summoners were airdropped in February 2019 halfway through the beta pack edition. Unlike the majority of beta cards, the airdropped summoners were not included in the Alpha edition. At a cost of five mana, these were the first legendary summoners for the standard splinters and the first summoners to include multiple buffs or debuffs. At their release, some players were concerned that these summoners were overpowered, but in the past two years the game has increased the match mana cap to 99 and released a set of seven mana untamed legendary summoners. While they may no longer be the most powerful summoners in the game, they should continue to see high demand due to their print scarcity.

Kobold MinerShare Your Battle!BackgroundKobold Miner is an original Alpha/Beta 2 mana Fire card with the Sneak ability. At max level, it has 3 melee, 5 speed, and 6 health, making it a cheap threat to an opponents back line. For this battle example I wanted to show the importance of placement, as I selected the Kobold Miner for the role of a second tank rather than an effective attacker.

As Splinterlands approaches the implementation of a collection score for leagues, I wanted to expand on an alternate idea I proposed a few days ago in the discord channel. The concept for boss fights has been around since the start of the game. While most envision this as a separate game mode, I propose incorporating bosses into ranked play as league gatekeepers. I would still like to see a separate boss campaign as well, but this is just a ranked league proposal.

The Untamed expansion introduced not only new cards but also several new rule sets and abilities to the Splinterlands game. The Diamond Dragon was the first Legendary Airdropped Untamed card, and with the Dragon's release came the new Last Stand ability. Last Stand provides a 50% boost in all stats if that monster is the last remaining on the team. Three monster cards now have the Last Stand Ability, Torhilo the Frozen, Diamond Dragon, and Kron the Undying. Of these three, Kron the Undying has proven the most popular especially in low mana games.
