Sunrise, Town, Cutoff Saw, Ashpalt Cutting, 3DP, Trench Digging, Conduit Buried, Gates Working, Sore - Tuesday

Full Spring day yesterday... Mid Winter. The sunrise was quite nice looking as I took the boys to school.

Had my weekly session in the morning and then stopped at Sun Rental to rent a cutoff saw for cutting the asphalt of the driveway. It was clear and blue sky as I headed up.

It was about 11 am when I got there and was ready to cut.

String line and kid's sidewalk chalk worked for making guide lines.

Super dusty and loud but the cuts got made.

A bit uneven but it worked.

Knocked cross cuts in to make removal a little easier then loaded the saw up and drove back to town to return it well within my allotted 4 hour window. It only took me about 15 minutes to make the cuts but save many hours of hacking at the asphalt.

Stopped by the house on the way back and the drumstick holder was finished printing. It will mount to the arm holding one of the smaller drums on the kick.

Headed back up as the clouds were moving in some.

The pick was required to get the asphalt pulled up.

And worked pretty well though I wasn't able to get larger pieces to come up.

Then I picked the dirt all the way across and then trench shoveled the gravel out. The conduit is reused and I was super lucky . I had pulled on the piece that was in the ground and it snapped off at the PERFECT length I needed to span the driveway. I left one of the wires in the conduit to use to pull the wire through.

Back filled the trench and placed the larger pieces of asphalt in like pavers before covering it all with the remaining gravel.

The gates now work perfectly with the remotes and the number pad. The problem is the wireless unit for the car sensor is not working.

Have to research today to figure out the code, or else I will just remove the wireless unit and run everything off the control board.

3pm I was done and headed for home where the boys had just gotten home from school. I was beat from all the pick axing and shoveling so the rest of my day was spent resting.

Today I am 46+2. Never really excited for this day each year as it just reminds me how little I have accomplished in the prior 364 days. This past year was such a mix of extremes I really never want that kind of year ever again. I don't think my psyche could take another.

Boys to school soon, dailies to do, tools to put away, research the gate part, get ride in this morning finally, then this evening have to have dinner ready early as R has wrestling practice.
