There are some things we enjoyed as children that today’s kids might never understand. If I could bring something back to life, it wouldn’t be a person, animal, or even a tradition. I would simply bring back those good old days when just one or two naira or even kobo could buy happiness. Real happiness. The days when you could buy ice cream, sweets, and biscuits, and still have a change in your pocket.

Mother’s Day is not just about one day in the year. To me, it’s every day. Every day is Mother’s Day because our mothers deserve to be loved, pampered, and taken care of all the time not just when the calendar says so. It’s not about what others do or don’t do, it’s about the love I have for my mother and how I want to show her that love every single day. So, for me, every day is Mother’s Day.

Let me be honest, when people talk about child services in Nigeria, I just shake my head. What child services? Where are they? Because from what I’ve seen and experienced, there’s almost nothing like that in most parts of Nigeria. Children are suffering every day, yet nobody is coming to their aid. Families are struggling, and children are the ones paying the highest price.

There are moments in life when no matter how strong you think you are, life will hit you so hard that giving up feels like the only option. Your chest becomes heavy, your heart can’t hold the pain, and your mind begins to question everything. If you’ve ever tried to run a business in Nigeria, especially with little or no support, then you may understand what I’m talking about. This is not just a story it’s a real-life experience that broke me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I never saw coming.

In Africa, divorce is seen as a taboo. It doesn’t matter if you are suffering in silence, as long as you are still wearing your wedding ring and staying under the man's roof then, you are doing well. I grew up hearing that marriage is for better or worse, but no one tells us that the worse could mean losing your life.
