¡Hola Chicos!

La aventura inició hace 3 meses, pero el día de hoy por fin comenzaré a contarles como han sido estas maravillosas semanas cumpliendo una de las metas que me planteé el año pasado. Un sueño hecho realidad. ♥

Ya les conté toda la odisea que fue conseguir este espacio y el proceso que llevó un par de meses para poder repararlo y dejarlo óptimo para poder dar clases.

Ahora por fin era momento de dar inicio formal a Lakrearte, un espacio para crear. Inicié con el período de inscripción y estuve unos días dando promoción hasta que por fin había conseguido dos alumnas.

Decidí dar inicio a las clases con esas dos, pues era la forma de que las demás personas se animaran a inscribirse. Una era de la clase de pintura, la cual tenía desde el mes de diciembre esperando a que abriera mi local para iniciarse en las clases.

Así que planifiqué recibirla el miércoles 12 de febrero a las 3 de la tarde. De esto ya han pasado 3 meses.

The adventure started 3 months ago, but today I will finally begin to tell you how these wonderful weeks have been fulfilling one of the goals I set last year. A dream come true. ♥

I already told you all about the odyssey that was to get this space and the process that took a couple of months to repair it and leave it optimal to teach classes.

Now it was finally time to formally start Lakrearte, a space to create. I started with the registration period and I spent a few days promoting it until I finally had two students.

I decided to start the classes with those two, because it was the way to encourage other people to enroll. One was from the painting class, who had been waiting since December for my place to open to start classes.

So I planned to receive her on Wednesday, February 12 at 3 pm. It has been 3 months since then.

Ese día salí en horas del mediodía para estar a tiempo y además debía ir a comprar unas sillas ya que no teníamos ninguna en el local. Solamente estaba la mesa.

No tenía ni idea como sería esto de salir a horas del medio día y que tan difícil sería encontrar transporte, pues era primera vez que lo hacía.

Al cabo de unos minutos por fin pasó un carro y salir con rumbo al centro de la ciudad de Cabimas.

That day I left at noon in order to be on time and I also had to go buy some chairs since we did not have any in the place. There was only the table.

I had no idea what it would be like to leave at noon and how difficult it would be to find transportation, since it was the first time I did it.

After a few minutes a car finally passed by and we left towards the center of the city of Cabimas.

Días atrás había visitado varias tiendas para buscar los precios de banquitos, y encontré unos en 5$, pero lamentablemente cuando llegué me habían aumentado el precio a 6$.

La idea era comprar al menos 6 pero eso había arruinado mi planificación, así que decidí ir a otra tienda. Me dijeron que eran 6$ igual, así que terminé comprándolos pues el tiempo se me estaba terminando.

Cuando fui a pagar mayor fue mi sorpresa cuando me dicen que la tasa a la que recibían era la del dólar paralelo. Acá en Venezuela resulta ser una gran molestia pues los negocios deberían cobrar a tasa del Banco Central de Venezuela.

Terminé pagando 28$ por los 4 banquitos, dinero con el que fácilmente hubiera comprado hasta 6. Estaba apurada así que no tenía tiempo de ir hasta otro lado.

Days before I had visited several stores to look for the prices of banquitos, and I found some at 5$, but unfortunately when I arrived they had increased the price to 6$.

The idea was to buy at least 6 but that had ruined my planning, so I decided to go to another store. They told me they were 6$ anyway, so I ended up buying them as time was running out.

When I went to pay, I was more surprised when they told me that the rate they were receiving was the parallel dollar rate. Here in Venezuela it turns out to be a great inconvenience because businesses should charge at the rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela.

I ended up paying $28 for the 4 banquitos, money with which I could have easily bought up to 6. I was in a hurry so I didn't have time to go elsewhere.

Me sentí super estafada pero no me quedó de otra. La vida se encargaría luego de reponerme eso.

Así llegué al local con los banquitos de la discordia, a organizar todo para la clase. Estaba bien emocionada por todo lo que se venía y no iba a dejar que nadie me arruinara el día.

Debía ver que hacía con unas cajas que teníamos de basura, así que las acomodé en una esquina para luego botarlas.

I felt super ripped off but I had no choice. Life would make up for it later.

So I arrived at the place with the benches of discord, to organize everything for the class. I was very excited about everything that was coming and I was not going to let anyone ruin my day.

I had to figure out what to do with some boxes we had of garbage, so I put them in a corner and then threw them away.

En ese momento me di cuenta que no había llevado agua, así que salí unos minutos a una tienda cercana para comprarme algo de tomar. Era mi primera salida del local dando clases jajaja todo era nuevo y debía registrarlo.

At that moment I realized that I had not brought water, so I went out for a few minutes to a nearby store to buy something to drink. It was my first time out of the classroom hahaha everything was new and I had to register it.

Luego llegó la alumna, yo estaba bien nerviosa pero la recibí con mucha emoción y comenzamos a trabajar con las actividades de diagnóstico.

Hicimos varias actividades para poder evaluar que tal era su técnica y cual era su nivel.

Then the student arrived, I was very nervous but I received her with a lot of excitement and we started working with the diagnostic activities.

We did several activities to evaluate her technique and her level.

Ya finalizadas las dos horas teníamos unos hermosos resultados los cuales ella exhibió con mucho orgullo. ♥

By the end of the two hours we had beautiful results which she proudly displayed. ♥

Ella había llevado sus cuadros para enseñármelos, estaban bien lindos todos la verdad, ella resultó ser toda una artista.

Nos tomamos una foto para el recuerdo y ya luego se fue.

She had brought her paintings to show me, they were really beautiful, she turned out to be quite an artist.

We took a picture for the memory and then she left.

Así finalizó mi primer día de clases, un día muy exitoso en el que conocí una chica bastante amable y con muchas ganas de aprender y yo me sentí super realizada.

Es emocionante recordar como comenzó toda esta aventura, ya quiero seguir contándoles más sobre lo que hemos vivido en estos 3 meses.

Thus ended my first day of classes, a very successful day in which I met a very nice girl who was very eager to learn and I felt very fulfilled.

It is exciting to remember how this whole adventure began, I want to continue telling you more about what we have lived in these 3 months.
