¡Hola Chicos!

Tengo ya varios post contándoles acerca del retrato que pinté gracias a un encargo que me hicieron hace poco más de un mes.
Este retrato era de un señor que falleció justo el día que cumplía años mi alumno y representó un papel muy importante en su vida, pues más que un padrino fue como un abuelito consentidor para ella.
El día de los 15 años ellas quieren hacer un momento de homenaje en el que van a entregar dicho cuadro a la esposa del señor, un momento que sin duda va a estar cargado de muchos sentimientos y emociones.

I already have several posts telling you about the portrait I painted thanks to a commission I was given a little over a month ago.
This portrait was of a man who died just on my student's birthday and represented a very important role in her life, because more than a godfather he was like a spoiled grandfather for her.
On her 15th birthday they want to make a moment of homage in which they will give the painting to his wife, a moment that will undoubtedly be full of feelings and emotions.
Había llegado el día de la entrega, la verdad ellas no tenían ni idea de que yo les había terminado ya el cuadro. Mi intención siempre fue dárselos más tardar finales del mes de abril, pues debía dar chance que ellas pudieran solventar el tema de como lo iban a entregar, si lo iban a enmarcar y todo eso.
Yo me armé toda una sesión de fotos pues serían los últimos momentos que tendría este cuadro en mis manos. Era un sentimiento súper loco pues aunque no es primera vez que pinto un cuadro para otra persona, este es el primero que lleva más trabajo y sentimientos involucrados.
The day of delivery had arrived, the truth was that they had no idea that I had already finished the painting. My intention was always to give it to them by the end of April at the latest, because I had to give them a chance to figure out how they were going to deliver it, if they were going to frame it and all that.
I had a whole photo session because it would be the last moments that I would have this painting in my hands. It was a crazy feeling because although it is not the first time I paint a picture for someone else, this is the first one that takes more work and feelings involved.
En casa nos acostumbramos a la presencia de este señor pues yo lo estaba pintando en el cuarto y siempre lo tenía ubicado en el caballete sobre mi mesa de trabajo.
Es por eso que tomé muchas fotos para recordarlo, como ya he dicho anteriormente, fue un gran aprendizaje que me dejó todo este proceso.
At home we got used to the presence of this gentleman because I was painting him in the room and I always had him on the easel on my work table.
That's why I took many pictures to remember him, as I said before, it was a great learning experience that this whole process left me.
Estoy súper ansiosa de subir todas estas fotos en mi Instagram, pero me toca esperar hasta los últimos días de este mes cuando por fin se lo entreguen a la tía, la dueña final del cuadro.
Mientras me relajo un poco y libero de la ansiedad al mostrarselos a ustedes. Traté de tomar una foto donde no se viera bien para ver si la subía a los estados de Instagram pero sé que esto dejaría en evidencia todo así que prefiero dejarlas para la revelación de mis redes.
I'm super anxious to upload all these pictures on my Instagram, but I have to wait until the last days of this month when they will finally be delivered to the aunt, the final owner of the painting.
In the meantime I relax a bit and release some of the anxiety by showing them to you guys. I tried to take a picture where it didn't look good to see if I would upload it to Instagram statuses but I know that this would leave everything in evidence so I prefer to leave them for the revelation of my networks.
Y así llegamos al local, yo súper nerviosa porque no sabía cual era su reacción. Justo cuando tomé la foto agarrando el cuadro llegaron ellas y me tocó esconderlo rápidamente pues quería grabar su reacción al verlo.
Estos fueron momentos de muchos nervios.
And so we arrived at the store, I was super nervous because I didn't know what their reaction would be. Just when I took the picture holding the painting, they arrived and I had to hide it quickly because I wanted to record their reaction when they saw it.
These were very nervous moments.

Su reacción era súper importante para mi porque me dirían si hice bien o no el trabajo. No hay nada más genuino que esto, pues es algo que simplemente no se puede fingir o disimular.
Al ver la alegría en sus rostros y como se emocionaron, al punto de llorar, me dejó una enorme satisfacción. Amaron el cuadro y se fueron felices con él.
Fue un bonito camino el que recorrí y una puerta que se abrió hacía infinitas posibilidades, pues que será el inicio de muchos más encargos. ♥
Their reaction was super important to me because they would tell me if I did the job right or not. There is nothing more genuine than this, as it is something that simply cannot be faked or disguised.
Seeing the joy on their faces and how they were moved to the point of tears gave me enormous satisfaction. They loved the painting and left happy with it.
It was a beautiful road I traveled and a door that opened to infinite possibilities, as it will be the beginning of many more commissions. ♥
