Happy New Year, dear Hive Open Mic community!

With much affection, I greet you and wish you a year full of health, inspiration, and prosperity. In this special week, with theme number 300, I want to share with you a very meaningful song for me, both for its story and the moment in which it was born.

The song is titled “Amor Prohibido” and it is my own creation—both lyrics and music. Interestingly, I never recorded it or sang it in public. I composed it when I was just 15 years old, during my high school days. At that time, I met a beautiful woman who worked at the institution. A very special connection arose between us, an attraction that, although intense, was impossible to make real: because of my age and the commitments she already had.

We shared many conversations, moments I still hold dear. In the end, we each went our separate ways, but this song remained as a witness to that youthful, pure, and sincere feeling. Today, after so many years, I want to bring it to life through this wonderful platform and share it with you, who always receive every artistic expression with such respect and love.

I hope you enjoy “Amor Prohibido”, and that this new year continues to unite us through music, art, and the spoken word.

Con mucho cariño les saludo y les deseo un año lleno de salud, inspiración y prosperidad. En esta semana especial, con el tema número 300, quiero compartir con ustedes una canción muy significativa para mí, tanto por su historia como por el momento en que nació.

La canción se titula “Amor Prohibido” y es de mi autoría, tanto la letra como la música. Curiosamente, nunca la llegué a grabar ni a cantar en público. La compuse cuando tenía apenas 15 años, en mis días de secundaria. En ese entonces, conocí a una mujer hermosa que trabajaba en la institución. Entre nosotros surgió una conexión muy especial, una atracción que, aunque intensa, era imposible de concretar: por mi edad y por los compromisos que ella ya tenía.

Compartimos muchas conversaciones, momentos que aún guardo con cariño. Al final, cada quien siguió su camino, pero esta canción quedó como testigo de ese sentimiento juvenil, puro y sincero. Hoy, después de tantos años, quiero darle vida a través de esta maravillosa plataforma, y compartirla con ustedes, que siempre reciben con tanto respeto y amor cada expresión artística.

Espero que disfruten de “Amor Prohibido”, y que este nuevo año nos siga uniendo a través de la música, el arte y la palabra.
