Estaba revisando sobre las señales que nos hablan de que hemos perdido nuestra pasión por el trabajo, en la desmotivación, sobre todo, ya que mucha gente trabaja en forma automática solo para esperar la recompensa económica.

Y mientras leía, me preguntaba:

¿Cuánta gente, actualmente, trabaja en áreas que no le apasionan y que no tienen conciencia de esta realidad?

¡He visto muchos casos en la consulta, donde esta interrogante ni siquiera se la han planteado jamás!

Por eso quiero plantearla en este momento, aquí, en @beentrepreneur, para que logremos una forma de consenso sobre si esto es, o no, una realidad actual.

La pasión es un motor

Definitivamente, la pasión es como la fe que mueve montañas.

Una persona que trabaja en lo que le apasiona, avanza, siempre está proactiva, encuentra caminos colaterales para desarrollarse, perfecciona su producto y, sobre todo, activa una serie de mecanismos físicos y bioquímicos que le traen bienestar.

Sé que trabajar en la felicidad personal muchas veces es difícil, porque el mundo nos impone obligaciones en forma heredadas que tenemos que cumplir, y estas, generalmente, se subsanan a través del dinero.

Más, uno de los indicadores más importantes que observo en la gente moderna es la dificultad para levantarse en la mañana, vestirse y estar listo a tiempo para ir a trabajar.

Esto es una falta de deseo absoluta, donde la motivación ni siquiera se percibe cerca.

Y quiero advertir que, a la larga, esta falta de deseo y de motivación afecta la confianza en uno mismo y a la autopercepción, el autoconcepto y la autoestima.

Un propósito de vida

¿Se han dado cuenta de que todos comenzamos con un propósito en la vida, con una supuesta pasión inicial en la escuela o en educación secundaria, cuando decimos que queremos ser médicos, abogados, ingenieros, poetas, artistas y, no sé cuántas cosas más…?

Son pasiones que desarrollamos desde la adolescencia o la juventud temprana, pero que, luego, no verificamos si son las pasiones reales y que tienen que ver con el propósito de vida que más tarde nos podemos proponer.

Se necesita cierto grado de madurez para saber cuál es el propósito de vida en cada persona.

Y hay que tenerlo claro, ya que es esto lo que lleva a tener satisfacción y a lo que sería el logro de la felicidad personal.

Cuando tenemos un propósito de vida que nos apasiona, estoy seguro de que vamos a tomar decisiones claras, conscientes y en pro de nuestro bienestar y de nuestro crecimiento.

Es importante, entonces, reflexionar sobre los intereses y talentos que teníamos a edades cortas y comparar con los intereses y deseos que tenemos en estos momentos.

Los test de las pasiones

No, no es un título romántico; y es que en la red podemos conseguir muchos test que nos permiten encontrar nuestra pasión; pero, por sobre todas las cosas, saber si lo que estamos haciendo en este momento tiene que ver con ella.

Por ejemplo, en el bloc de Usher.com existe un cuestionario que me llamó la atención porque es, como que bastante completo, sobre todo, porque cada pregunta nos permite ir reflexionando sobre lo que queremos y lo que estamos haciendo en este momento.

Claro está, que el test está hecho para descubrir el verdadero potencial, pero también para definir en cuál profesión me voy a desarrollar.

Me pareció bien hacerlo para reflexionar, en forma comparativa, lo que antes pensábamos con lo que pensamos en este momento.

Y existen preguntas como, si trabajas en un proyecto, ¿cuál es tu parte favorita y cuáles son las actividades de ese proyecto que más disfrutas? Que son de motivación, pero también sobre la manera en como reaccionamos y actuamos ante los desafíos, lo que es muy importante para saber qué tipo de personas somos, si analíticos, creativos, prácticos o estratégicos.

Un test breve para redireccionarte hacia el asunto:

Nunca es tarde para corregir y elegir lo verdaderamente satisfactorio para nosotros; así que, aquí hay interrogantes y situaciones planteadas que redirigirán tu atención, desde tu inconsciente, hasta el asunto.

Yo siento que, si terminamos dándonos cuenta de que estamos trabajando en un emprendimiento o en una profesión en la cual no nos sentimos satisfechos, vamos a experimentar que es un sacrificio demasiado alto el que hemos realizado.

Por eso, no dejemos de pensar en los beneficios que hemos obtenido hasta este momento ni que, de una u otra manera, nos hemos mantenido y hemos podido subsanar gastos y permitirnos cierto estilo de vida.

Sí, de nuevo, sé que muchísima gente pasa su vida trabajando en forma automática, sin saber, siquiera, si en realidad eso le gusta, así que, la pregunta es (y puedes basar una publicación en ella) la que está en el título:

Si en este momento el dinero no fuera necesario en mi vida, ¿estaría haciendo lo que ahora hago?

Un buen punto, a mi manera de ver, porque la autoevaluación debe ser parte importante de nuestras existencias y, aún más, para evaluar la motivación y el esfuerzo que realizamos en nuestros emprendimientos.

I was reviewing about the signs that tell us that we have lost our passion for work, in demotivation, above all, as many people work in an automatic way just to wait for the financial reward.

And as I read, I wondered:

How many people, nowadays, work in areas they are not passionate about and are unaware of this reality?

I have seen many cases in the practice, where this question has never even been asked!

That's why I want to raise it right now, here, on @beentrepreneur, so that we can achieve a form of consensus on whether or not this is, or is not, a current reality.

Passion is a driving force

Passion is definitely like faith that moves mountains.

A person who works on what he or she is passionate about, moves forward, is always proactive, finds collateral ways to develop, perfects his or her product and, above all, activates a series of physical and biochemical mechanisms that bring well-being.

I know that working on personal happiness is often difficult, because the world imposes on us inherited obligations that we have to fulfill, and these are generally paid for through money.

However, one of the most important indicators that I observe in modern people is the difficulty to get up in the morning, get dressed and be ready in time to go to work.

This is an absolute lack of desire, where motivation is not even perceived to be close.

And I want to warn that, in the long run, this lack of desire and motivation affects self-confidence and self-perception, self-concept and self-esteem.

A purpose in life

Have you noticed that we all start with a purpose in life, with a supposed initial passion in school or in secondary education, when we say we want to be doctors, lawyers, engineers, poets, artists and I don't know how many other things...?

These are passions that we develop from adolescence or early youth, but that, later, we do not verify if they are real passions and that have to do with the purpose of life that we can later propose to ourselves.

It takes a certain degree of maturity to know what is the purpose of life in each person.

And it is necessary to have it clear, since this is what leads to satisfaction and to what would be the achievement of personal happiness.

When we have a life purpose that we are passionate about, I am sure that we will make clear, conscious decisions in favor of our well-being and growth.

It is important, then, to reflect on the interests and talents we had at a younger age and compare them with the interests and desires we have now.

Passion tests

No, it is not a romantic title; and the fact is that in the network we can get many tests that allow us to find our passion; but, above all, to know if what we are doing at this moment has to do with it.

For example, in the Usher.com blog there is a questionnaire that caught my attention because it is quite complete, especially because each question allows us to reflect on what we want and what we are doing at the moment.

Of course, the test is made to discover the true potential, but also to define in which profession I am going to develop.

I thought it was good to do it to reflect, in a comparative way, what we thought before with what we think at the moment.

And there are questions like, if you work on a project, what is your favorite part and what are the activities of that project that you enjoy the most? Which are motivational, but also about how we react and act in the face of challenges, which is very important to know what kind of people we are, whether analytical, creative, practical or strategic.

I feel that, if we end up realizing that we are working in an enterprise or in a profession in which we do not feel satisfied, we will feel that we have made too great a sacrifice.

So, let's not stop thinking about the benefits that we have obtained up to this point and that, in one way or another, we have been able to support ourselves and we have been able to cover expenses and afford a certain lifestyle.

Yes, again, I know that many, many people spend their lives working automatically, without even knowing if they really like it, so the question is (and you can base a publication on it) the one in the title:

If right now money was not necessary in my life, would I be doing what I am doing now?

A good point, to my way of thinking, because self-evaluation should be an important part of our existences and, even more so, to evaluate the motivation and effort we put into our endeavors.
