For my #wednesdaywalk initiated by
@tattoodjay, I did several walks around my local area.
This year, we seem to have an abundance of white hawthorn blossoms along the country lanes and parks. They've never looked so good. The white blossoms have a lovely sweet smell. I noticed a few bees and other insects on them searching for the nectar.
The sight of white hedges looks very similar to snow from a distance. The trees are dripping with blossom.
Occasionally, you get pink blossoms but these are the first I've seen this year. This long spell of sunny weather is definitely helping mother nature.
It can be quite tricky photographing butterflies. Some flit around too much but the orange tip butterfly literally landed in front of me and stayed there until I took a snap. I was hoping that there would be more butterflies but sadly, I only saw this one.
Even though there are new picnic tables placed in the park, people still leave their litter on the floor when they've finished eating. I don't understand why they would want to spoil such a pretty area.
Part of the park leads you under the trees. It feels as though you are walking through a tree tunnel. I enjoyed the shade from the hot sun until I got back to my car.
