As I was walking through one of my favourite woods today, the sun was bright. It shone through the trees, showing up the yellow and gold leaves against the dull floor of the woods.

The path was clear, with a few fallen leaves on the ground. This scene might be the perfect choice to revisit some watercolour painting. I haven't done any since I was at school, which is a long time ago!

It was fairly silent, even the birds were quiet this morning.

The bright leaves created a lovely canopy overhead.

The oak leaves, with their fiery red autumnal colours looked good against the sunny yellow of the gorse bush.

I spotted bracket fungi on several tree trunks. They felt firm and solid to the touch.

This is a lovely short circular walk, all on the flat mostly through the woodland.

Thank you to @untilwelearn for running the contest.
