Heute zeige ich euch einige Bilder über meinen letzten Wochenendausflug in Brünn (Tschechien). Ich bin zahlreiches mal schon neben der Stadt vorbei gefahren und die von der Autobahn sichtbare Plattenbauviertel sprachen mich gar nicht an, anzuhalten. Und die Stadt ist auch nicht so gehyped, wie Prag, man liest/hört drüber selten. Allerdings habe ich in der letzten Adventszeit über den Weihnachtsmarkt in Brünn gelesen, da Brünn Europas Weihnachtshauptstadt 2024 war. Ich fand die illustrierenden Bilder mit den Häuser im Hintergrund sehr ansprechend. Ich habe dann Lust gekriegt, die Innenstadt von Bruno zu erkundigen.

Es gibt viele Altbaugebäuden im klassizistischen Stil, aber es sind auch viele Jugendstil-Gebäude ❤️zu entdecken. Ich habe eine Kirche auf dem ersten mal gesehen, wo der Turm in der Mitte steht, wo die Schiffe sich kreuzen. Auch die moderne Architektur vertritt sich mit einem Highligt, welches zu UNESCO Weltkulturerbe gehört: Die Villa Tugendhat von Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 1931 gilt in der internationalen Fachwelt als eines der vier wichtigsten Wohnhäuser der Klassischen Moderne weltweit. Die anderen drei sind: das Haus Schminke in Löbau von Hans Scharoun 1930 (darüber habe ich schon
hier geschrieben), die Villa Savoye in Poissy bei Paris von Le Corbusier 1929 und das Haus Fallingwater (Kaufman Residence) in Pennsylvania von Frank Lloyd Wright 1939.
Wir haben nur zwei kleine Ausstellungen besucht und an einer Kurzführung in der Tugendhat Villa teilgenommen.
Sonst sind wir an der Sehenswürdigkeiten entlang gelaufen, auch hoch in die Burg Spilberk. Auf dem Abreisetag sind wir noch einem See lang am Staudamm neben dem Zoo spaziert, welches als Rekreationspark benutzt wird, natürlich eher im Sommer. Wir haben einige auch jetzt baden gesehen. Zudem wurde dort auch gepaddelt, aber die Wakeboardanlage war noch nicht wieder aufgebaut.
All für diese reichte ein ein Wochenende von Freitag nachmittag aus. Ich kann die Innenstadt ohne Ausstellungen, Ausflüge als idealer Zwischenstopp zwischen z.B. Norddeutschland und Kroatien empfehlen. Allerdings, wenn ihr die Bauhaus Villa richtig besuchen wollt, müsst ihr rechtzeitig reservieren (ein Besuch ist nur mit Führung möglich). Ich konnte auch nur an einer Außenführung teilnehmen, da die Innenführungen schon Monate hinaus ausgebucht sind. Aber jetzt sollen lieber die Bilder für sich sprechen. Aber Achtung, Bilder von Mumien und auch aus einem Beinhaus sind dabei, ich sortiere sie nach hinten ein.

I've driven along the city numerous times and the prefabricated housing estates visible from the highway didn't encourage me to stop. And the city is not as hyped as Prague, you rarely read/hear about it. However, I did read about the Christmas market in Brno last Advent, as Brno was the European Christmas Capital 2024. I found the illustrative pictures with the houses in the background very appealing. I then felt like exploring the city center of Brno.
There are many old buildings in the classicist style, but there are also many Art Nouveau buildings to discover. I have seen a church for the first time, where the tower is in the middle, where the ships intersect.

On the day of departure we walked along a lake by the dam next to the zoo, which is used as a recreation park, of course more in summer. We also saw some people swimming. There was also paddling here in winter, but the wakeboard facility had not yet been rebuilt.
All of these took time a weekend (from Friday afternoon). I can recommend the city for a short trip, it is an ideal stopover between e.g. Northern Germany and Croatia. However, if you want to visit the Bauhaus Villa properly, you have to book well in advance (a visit is only possible with a guided tour). I was only able to take part in an exterior tour, as the interior tours were fully booked months in advance. But for now, let the pictures speak for themselves. But beware, there are pictures of mummies and also of an ossuary, I'll put them at the back.
