Hello all, I wanted to write a quick note in case you are wondering about Dustsweeper. Dusty is not yet operational on HIVE and it will probably take a bit longer than I initially expected. I had plans to combine services from both blockchains, allowing transfers from both chains count towards an overall account balance which could be used for both chains. But I'm not sure that's the best way to proceed and I need some more time to consider the different options.

Celebrating 1 YearThey say time fly when you are having fun. And sure, @dustsweeper has enjoyed every single moment sweeping up dust on the blockchain. But I cannot believe it has already passed one year. It was in May 2018 when @dustsweeper was born. Dusty started out with a few thousand in SP which has now grown to around 24K. The initial SP was made up of kind donations, then we gradually used the deposits to rent SP from the Minnowbooster market.

Hello "Dust" Friends,The STEEM price has had a tough ride and has been as low as $0.20 in recent months. The lower STEEM price means that more SP is needed to hand out the same upvote value. When we recently ran a calculation, around 1000 SP was needed to be able to reach a $0.02 vote. So, of course, this makes it harder for Dusty to sweep. At the moment, the average rate is just above 200 votes per day.

Just a quick note to let you know that we are temporarily letting Dusty vote below the normal threshold of 90% voting power. As you probably know, HF20 is scheduled to go live in about 17 hours from now. Unforeseen things could happen and we could run into issues with @dustsweeper's voting. To avoid wasting VP and to give us some time to fix eventual issues, we have decided to let Dusty vote more freely. The voting power can now go as low as 50% and the per user, per round, voting limit, has been increased from 2 votes to 10.
