If it wasn't for the live show at Elsewhere on Friday, I would not have hit my 10K for the day. I had Friday off to get caught up on some errands, some grades, and some chores. I made sure I was done in time to get there at 7.45 for Haywyre.
I've been stoked for this show since it was the first show on this tour where Elephante featured a live set. Haywyre took full advantage of the vibes and tore it up on the keys to get the crowd riled up. He brought the funk while remixing disco and pop.
You know the music is good when I'm putting up all those steps on a night out. Elephante rocked through his whole catalog, from his old tracks with featured vocalist to his new album 'Cope' with all his own. He bounced around the stage with his keys and a mic up front with his guitar and mixing pad in the back right and his drummer in the back left. He crushed it with his new live concept, and I hope to get to see more of it if he gets a chance at Festivals!
I stopped by the fruit stand to pick up reinforcements for the weekend. 4 blood orange mandarins, 3 pints of blueberries, 1 pint of strawberry, 4 bananas, and a dozen pasture eggs for $10. SUPPORT LOCAL! Until next time...
