I was inspired by the Let's Draw Bug challenge of @artofkylin and so I tried sketching these bugs. I only managed to do one so far because I'm super busy right now and not sure if I'll finish the whole month lol, but here are these two goofy bugs anyway.I went with kinda cute but creepy insect vibes. One is this reddish-brown bug thing with big white wings, long antennae, round white eyes, and little hands gesturing to another bug. They obviously are having some conversation. The other is a darker blue bug with curly antennae, big white eyes with slanted pupils, red jagged mouth, and he's got his arms up trying to make a point. Both have those translucent wing shapes and spindly legs, just hanging out on a dark corner.I thought it'd be fun to make them look friendly instead of gross, like they could be buddies.
The wings were a challenge to draw so I had to add a separate layer for them in case I may want to scrap them it would be easier to delete. I am glad though they cooperated,the colors I made them looked see-through but not too flat. I positioned the legs of the reddish bug such that it looked hovering and the blue bug I made him look like balancing his weight using those slender legs. I redrew the poses maybe twice to make them look lively instead of stiff.Anyway, here they are, my two bug friends from the challenge. Might do more if I get time, but no promises since life is hectic rn. What do you think?
