This art work was done for the splinterlands fan art contest, which you can see here. Commander Slade is a fantastic card, both the stats and the artwork. I thought this before I started working on this piece now, I'm an even bigger fan. I love the fact his sword has not one but two teethy mouths on it. Part of why I enjoy doing splinterlands fanart so much is that so many characters have such delightful artwork.

I walked A LOT for work today and was very glad I had the new shoes I bought yesterday. My old shoes were falling apart and making my feet hurt due to the lack of any cushion. This artwork was inspired by a fight in which my Giant Alpine Skink was matched against a single chaos agent. It ended very poorly for the chaos agent. I used a mixture of pencil, pencil crayon and Gauche paint. First there was the sketch, getting the shape and figuring out where things are.

Today was a bit of a rough day work wise. The school was super unorganized and that makes being a casual ea a lot more stressful for me. On top of that I was in a room of grade 4/5 and they were chaos gremlins. However i was also super proud of myself cause I fought my instinct to just get some crap comfort food and instead made myself some delicious and mostly healthy stir-fry. It is hallomi on top which is super tasty when friend.

I went on a walk today and saw some really cute flowers. I was really lucky to be able to get out between the rain.
