For this post, I want to share my food experience from a recent visit to the Tampines area. I don't go there often, but whenever I do, I make sure to grab one of Toast & Rolls’ pastries. They make really delicious treats at affordable prices, so for me, it’s a must to have one of their sweet offerings for dessert.
After having lunch at the Koufu food court, I immediately headed to Toast & Rolls to see which items would tempt me the most. I’m so glad I did because I discovered they now have a new item on their menu: choux puff pastries! As I browsed through the items displayed in their chiller, the blueberry cream cheese puff instantly caught my attention.
I loved the way the cream puffs were packaged — they looked so appetizing, and it was clear they offered a generous serving, all for just SGD 4.80. I had no doubt I wanted one for dessert. A good coffee would pair perfectly with it. In fact, I got myself a hot Americano, and it was the perfect match.
I even recorded a short clip of it because it looked so yummy — definitely worth sharing with my online friends on TikTok and YouTube, LOL. I find that users on mainstream apps like TikTok and YouTube are generally more receptive, especially since I’ve made an effort to connect with users in my region. That way, there's a higher chance they can relate to my content.
Here's the Tiktok version of the short clip as well:
I guess that’s one of the challenges on Hive — it feels like there aren’t many users from my region, so my posts (especially about food) might not be as relatable. The dishes I share may not even be available where most Hive users are. But at least on TikTok and YouTube, the food I feature might actually be accessible to viewers, and they might even give it a try themselves.
Overall, discovering the blueberry cream cheese choux puff at Toast & Rolls was a delightful treat that made my visit to Tampines extra special. I'm always excited to share these hidden gems with others, especially when they’re both tasty and affordable. Hopefully, this inspires you to check it out too if you're ever in the area!
