A Quick Business Update - Eliminating The Competitors

The first order for our new client was delayed by 7 days which is not ideal and those responsible for the delay being another client have been spoken to. Sometimes things are out of your control and as long as you communicate between the parties involved there is no major issue. Everyone is happy and those responsible have had their knuckles rapped so this should be a once off.
This client is extremely important for our overall numbers as they increase the monthly volume by another 25%. The first order is due for next week Wednesday and the second order which is a much bigger number is due the week after.
I am sticking to my daily and monthly target goals as who knows where I honed my skills and I guess HIVE is responsible for this type of thinking. The monthly numbers have been fluctuating as like we all suspected there is a definite season when the numbers increase.
We are learning each month and only when we reach August which would be 1 year of doing this will we know the seasonal months. The problem with the punch bag industry is retailers have never had consistent supply until we landed on the scene. We have been audited by independent parties 3 times and have come out smelling like roses each time which tells us we are doing things right.
I would call the previous suppliers fly by night type characters and were never going to last being found out for cutting corners. Profit is important and has never been the main focus which makes us stand out and for now it was all about maintaining and increasing the numbers whilst maintaining a set quality standard.
I have dialed in the costs and know exactly where we are and where to find more which will only be implemented later this year. This is a process and more importantly knowing the cost figures per kilogram being produced means you can get an exact profit number. I know I can earn an extra 30% when the time is right and that will only be in a few months time. We are just not ready to make those changes just yet and this involves how we buy the materials and the problem of storage so this is a work in progress.
The plan is to get the last punch bag suppliers business by the end of this year as I honestly do not know how they are surviving knowing we have 80% of the market. Patience is required and to keep on doing what we are doing and they will seize to exist in a few months. We know they were hoping on landing the client we landed and that was the killer blow as there are no other clients available. This is a simple brilliant business that so many have managed to screw up in the past mainly down to greed, ignorance and no planning thinking they were too clever.
Every bag supplied is over and above the standard weight limits which dropped due to shrink flation as every product has shrunk in size and weight since covid. We have not and have stuck to the original size and weight punch bags have always been which makes us stand out for what you are purchasing. The clients are paying for the shrinkflation weights, but are being supplied the old weights and only when we have 100% of the market will the standard original sizes move back to what they were. No corners are being cut to find extra profit as if you do something right there is no need to. We are in theory giving 10% away currently by over supplying on the weights of each bag.
The next batch of specialized stuffing material arrives next week Wednesday which is a welcome 11 tons and will be ready and waiting for every batch that follows. Finding these suppliers which took a good 6 months was the key to this business and why hunting for the right suppliers is time well spent. No one else has what we have and no one will ever get their hands on this as I purchase every kilogram they produce.
