It's been three months since I last wrote a post in Hive. But believe me, there is a good reason behind that. Since I arrived in Caracas last February, my life has revolved around one thing, to empty my mom’s apartment. Last year, my mom had been gradually moving into my house, but her apartment was still full of stuff, and when I say full, I mean FULL. 53 years living in the same place is enough to accumulate a lot. It has been an exhausting task, and fortunately, there is little left to do there. But I still have lots of boxes in my house to organize and clear. So many photos full of memories that I would like to digitize, and maybe share some. I have a lot to write about, but that can wait a few more days.

Today, without planning it, I ended up taking two walks this Wednesday Walk that I would like to share with you.In the last few days, I have been doing some errands because we want to sell my mother's apartment. It's a lot of work to empty the apartment and also to do the paperwork to have everything ready in case an opportunity comes up. This morning, I had to go to the commercial registry. Fortunately, the registry I had to go to is in a nice area of the city that I like a lot. My friend L. offered to go with me.

I'm back HOME. I got back last Wednesday night.When my son and I were together during the holidays in Bogota, he shared a conversation he had with one of his teachers, who had asked him if he would travel home for the holidays. He responded that the concept of home had become somewhat challenging for him these days. The conversation lingered in my mind, prompting me to reflect on my own experiences.

Hello Hivers and Archi Lovers!A few days ago, I went up to the terrace of the building of the newly opened Centro Felicidad Chapinero in Bogotá. It was inaugurated a few months ago, exactly in October 2024. The building is located in one of the main avenues of the city, Carrera 11 with 82nd street in the Chapinero sector. It is a project that, according to its website, seeks to offer the people of Bogotá a place where art, culture, sports, and recreation converge, promoting the integral well-being of the community.

Hello, Hivers and Music lovers!It’s still Tuesday in my corner of the world, so I’m still in time to share some tunes for this #threetunetuesday.The inspiration for today’s post came to me over the weekend while having breakfast with my husband at a local diner. The music playing in the background was Juan Luis Guerra, and at that moment, my husband and I commented about his musical genius. His songs have been a constant companion to me since I was young. I’ve danced to his merengues countless times, and I’ve listened to his ballads and bachatas over and over again. And then I thought how is it possible that in all this time I haven't dedicated a post to him for #ttt. But that's going to change today.
