Hey hey, Hivers! 🙋♂️ It's been too long!Taken on July 28th, 2024 after writing this post, coming at you from small town Missouri, USA 😎I suddenly realized how much I missed the creativity and engagement I found in this community. It brought out the best in me, eventually elevating my professional life to new heights and earning a career that I couldn't have imagined when this web3 journey started some nine years ago.
There is one special ruleset that singles out the weakest monsters on the field and causes everyone to pummel them relentlessly until they are dead, usually within the first or second round. Unlike how it sounds, opportunities are by no means equal in this ruleset. When too many monsters have the Opportunity ability in a single battle, the result is a mayhem of weakling bullying that can disrupt the strategy of even the most season player. In today's ruleset strategy guide, we're going to talk about Equal Opportunity
It's time for a Splinterlands strategy guide on one of the game's newer rulesets that fills players with dread. Fortunately, that dread is not as deadly as the poison which afflicts their monsters in battle. Don't breathe too deeply, we're about to talk Noxious Fumes
Today's ruleset is a high level favorite that hearkens back to the earliest days of Splinterlands, before the Trample ability was nerfed into its current form. Lovingly known by its fans as Infinite Trample, this ruleset was specially requested by Aggroed for many months until it was finally added to the list on January 16th 2021, along with Equal Opportunity and Noxious Fumes, which will be the topics of the next two ruleset strategy guides.
It's time for another issue of the Ruleset Strategy Series, in which I take you one by one through the Splinterlands rulesets and give you some strategy tips, pointers and nuggets of wisdom from my own experience. I may not be one of the best players, but this game is a huge part of my life and I have battled nearly 20,000 times. Last week I got into the Even Stevens restrictive ruleset, and now it's time for its counterpart, Odd Ones Out. It may be the same principle, but the cards in your selection are 100% different. So let's talk some quick strategy!
... That's how many different Monsters you'll find in the Splinterlands catalogue.... That's the number of Monster cards with even mana costs. You should be able to find a winning team in there somewhere, right? Yep, we're talking today about a ruleset that is pretty straightforward because all it does is restricts the number of Monsters you're able to play to about half. It can be hard to create an ideal team, but if you have a decent collection, it should be easy enough to rustle up some even contenders
