An old and exhausted quarry near the city of Mednogorsk, Orenburg Region. It is considered the oldest in the region. Its development began in 1935, when a team of geologists found copper ore here. The deposit was developed for a long time, until the mid-70s. At first, mining was carried out underground, adits were dug. Then they began to mine ore in an open way. The color of the water has a pronounced green tint, most likely due to the presence of copper. Moreover, in different weather conditions, the color of the water changes slightly. In clear and sunny weather, it is more delicate. We were not very lucky with the weather, during our visit to the quarry it was raining and a strong wind was blowing. Unfortunately, in some pictures you can see droplets of water that got on the lens...

The outskirts of the city of Orsk, Lake Zaboy. A former quarry, which was eventually flooded with water. A deep lake of a peculiar shape was formed. They say that in the 90s, local bandits came here. Here they got rid of evidence - perhaps many cars flew into the water from these rocks. And one can only guess how many people rest in the depths of the lake. Now on one side, local residents have made a small sandy beach. On the rocky shores of the lake you can find a mineral stone called serpentine.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Orenburg region is Nose Mountain. It is part of the Karamurun-Tau ridge. The height is approximately 400 meters above sea level. It stands out even in hilly terrain. To our great disappointment, we did not have time to climb the mountain, so we had to make do with photos taken at the foot of it.

In a small village in the Orenburg region, an abandoned church was found. More precisely, it was marked on the maps as abandoned and destroyed. But when we arrived in the village, we saw that they were trying to restore the temple. The doors were locked, we didn’t want to break the lock in front of the entire village. Therefore, we limited ourselves to a few photos from the outside.

As befits a real tourist, the clothes are camouflage colors. He is comfortable in the suit, it does not hinder his movements. By the way, if you look closely, the cat has a special beacon hanging on his neck. In the dark, it glows in different colors. Because there was a case when he got unhooked from the leash at night and went for a walk. Then they searched for the cat in the dark for a long time. But in the end they found him. Since then, the beacon is constantly on his neck during trips to nature

In the Orenburg region, not far from the city of Orsk, a small and specific landmark was found. On the maps it is marked as the Devil's Finger rock. And the description says that once upon a time, a bas-relief of Lenin was installed on this rock. Now it is difficult to say whether there was actually a bas-relief of the leader of the revolution, but judging by the traces on the rock, something was installed there. It is only a pity that tourists spoiled the rock with their inscriptions... In general, good views of the natural expanses open up from the top of this rock
