Hoy se celebra el Día Internacional de la Enfermería y esta profesión me ha tocado de cerquita, ya que en mi familia hay 4 enfermeras y gracias a ellas, la familia ha logrado paliar muchas situaciones de salud, dentro de cada una de nuestras familias, porque ellas se han convertido en un gran apoyo en lo que a la salud de la familia en general se refiere, pues aparte de que han sido grandes profesionales destacadas dentro de su ámbito laboral, también han aplicado sus conocimientos y cuidados tanto para con familiares, amigos y extraños.
He sido testigo de los grandes sacrificios que conlleva ejercer esta profesión, de los trasnochos, de las guardias interminables que en ocasiones les ha tocado tomar, sin tomar en cuenta fechas especiales, feriados, cumpleaños, por nombrar algunos eventos que a veces les toca declinar, por diferentes emergencias, guardias e incluso también de lo que se exponen trabajando en hospitales y clínicas, donde proliferan virus y bacterias, pero ellas, siempre han estado bien dispuestas a ejercer su profesión sin quejas y en muchas ocasiones hasta ellas mismas enfermas o con malestares y la prueba de ello fue durante la pandemia, en esos días comprobaron de que están hechas y es que las enfermeras son el complemento idóneo de la salud, pues están de mano con los doctores y los pacientes.

Pero como todo, personalmente he tenido malas experiencias con enfermeras que les falta el amor por lo que hacen, su vocación y no es nada agradable, pero afortunadamente, también existen estas, que lo dan todo por sus pacientes y que son ejemplo de dedicación y abnegación en sus trabajos y acá les tengo 4 ejemplos en este mundo de la enfermería, que me han brindado la oportunidad de ver de primera mano, lo que es una buena enfermera en toda la extensión de la palabra, trabajadoras, dedicadas, competentes, responsables, cariñosas y amables. No hay nada mejor para un paciente que toparse con este tipo de enfermeras, lo confirmo.
Entonces aquí aprovecho y les presento a mi tía Janneth, ya ella está jubilada, pero aún tiene en su alma ese espíritu de enfermera integral que nadie se lo quita y siempre está presta a ayudar a quien lo necesite. Sigo con mi prima Mileydi, esta es de esas enfermeras que ha estudiado de más, excelente profesional y gran ser humano, sus pacientes la adoran. Le sigue mi prima Neila, ella es de este tipo de enfermera que siempre anda con una sonrisa a flor de labios, diligente, muy sociable; continuo con mi cuñada Maigua, ella es un ejemplo de superación, porque estudio ya después de que sus hijas estaban adultas y hoy día es una excelente enfermera, esmerada y dedicada. Debo decir que es un gran alivio contar con ellas, cuando las cosas de la salud se ponen difíciles, porque siempre es mejor que te inyecte alguien conocido, ja, ja, ja.
Y por supuesto, en medio de un dolor, conseguir a alguien que te trate con amabilidad y con una sonrisa hace una gran diferencia, cuando estamos transitando por el camino de algún malestar o enfermedad; así que a los enfermeros y enfermeras debemos felicitarles en su día porque se lo merecen infinitamente, Dios les bendiga!
