Announcement: Bluesky Proof-of-Sharing (POSH) is Live!
Sharing links to blogs on Web2 social platforms can increase visibility and drive traffic to your content. By sharing links you can tap into a wider audience that may not have stumbled upon your blog otherwise. This can lead to increased engagement, more comments, and a higher chance of your content going viral. Sharing links to blogs on Web2 is a simple yet powerful way to get your content seen by more people.
Bluesky Posh is alive and sifting through Bluesky posts and looking for links to Hive blog posts. It's similar to how TwitterPosh worked (before the crushing API fees), and how Reddit Posh works today.
When BlueskyPosh sees a link shared on Bluesky, and the link points to a Hive post on any well-known Hive frontend, BlueskyPosh publishes a reply to the post. Thanks to
@asgarth, PeakD users viewing BlueskyPosh replies will see an embedded card containing the Bluesky content.
The Blueskyposh rewards will go back to the author of the blog post for now. After we add Bluesky registration to HivePosh.com, the rewards can be split with the account that shared the post, to incentivise sharing. For the curious, BlueskyPosh sets nomnomnomnom as comment rewards beneficiary. This is Posh's internal service for liquidating rewards.
Future Work
- Add Bluesky/Hive account linking to hiveposh.com - this will enable rewards splitting and gamification, Posh token rewards distribution for the Bluesky sharing leaderboard.
- Add more platforms to Posh. Nostr is top of the list
Bluesky Posh is brought to you buy the posh team -
