** February Seed Starting Tour!**
It took FOREVER for winter to really leave. (kinda not really gone yet, tho)
I start my ONION seeds indoors early February. I start my peppers, mid February, and some of my PLUM-type TOMATO seeds mid February. Start chitting out (greening out; getting eyes started) on my Potato Mid February. AND, start my Sweet Potato Slips Mid February, too.
I SEE GREEN!
Onions are starting to grow... see the tiny pointy leaves?
First, I get them to grow, tiny seedlings, and then, in a couple weeks, I will give them a slight haircut!

Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.
