Breakfast made with love and delicious ingredients is ideal for a happy start to the day.
I grew up in a country where breakfast does not consist of meat, eggs and coffee, well maybe coffee with milk yes, but not with such consistency. And today, more than six years after I moved, I still have the same habit.
In Argentina breakfast can consist of coffee with milk, tea with milk, chocolatada (which is milk with cocoa) or mate. What accompanies it can be facturas (that's what we call a delicious pastry there, and if it's made with butter it's even better) or pastries, biscuits, bread with butter and jam or a sweet. Breakfast can be varied, but it doesn't involve meat, eggs and such things, unless you live in the countryside. My paternal family, my mother tells me, did eat such things for breakfast.
In my case, and out of fascination, I always have chocolatada for breakfast, but very light and without sugar. It consists of a big jug or cup of milk with half a teaspoon of cocoa, as I said, without sugar. In winter it's very hot and in summer it's cold. I love that.
I accompany that drink with a variety of biscuits, but not too sweet, sometimes it can be a slice of bread with sweets, but they are usually biscuits and I love oranges or mandarins for breakfast. Vitamin C is essential. I once said here that I love fruit.
I know that most Argentines have mate or mae cocido for breakfast, coffee with milk, but if I miss my chocolatada, I need to start the day off right.

Although there are certain special occasions when that breakfast has different nuances, especially when I have a birthday. The photographs I bring you here are from a birthday almost two years ago, my 45th birthday. Besides, when the breakfast is prepared by someone else it is even better, when it is a surprise, a gift and comes from the heart. It makes me doubly happy.
It is a breakfast that overflows with calories, but of course I don't eat this every day, it was a special occasion, and a treat now and then is not a bad thing.
That day this breakfast was waiting for me and with delicious birthday cake, a caramel cake with cream and fruits, what a delight.
But I will be more specific about what the cup contains, it is chocolate milk, typically called in my country submarine, with whipped cream on top, grated chocolate and two chocolate wafer sticks. You may have noticed that there is a lot of milk chocolate, ideal for me. I enjoyed that day, that morning very much and it was a great surprise.
It's not so much what you eat for breakfast but how you eat it, with joy to start the day well, I think that's the most important thing. Of course you have to have lots of vitamins, proteins and everything you need to have a great day. That day was beyond great, I didn't expect that breakfast, it's simple, but for me it's great, I enjoy the little things in life.
