Hi, i am Arveno from Surabaya city Indonesia. I want to share about the place that i used to be tributing flower to my Daughter since i spread the ashes on this sea. And this place is kinda like tourism spot in my city. But, sadly this place is kinda abandoned with the Developer. I dont know why being abandoned, but as far as i know many people said that this is place to giving tribute to the dead people. Actually Sanggar Agung is place like temple for Khong Hu Cu religion to pray. But, since i dont know its like lately in my country many Christian and Catholic religion seems like fade away for the tradition especially when handling the family that passed away. In the past what i know is family need to be buried, like my grandpa and my grandma from my mom side, they are still buried in their hometown. But, from the past 10 years i think many family that passed away like my grandpa from my dad lately is being burned in crematorium. And after that the ashes is spread on the sea. Maybe because the grave price is really expensive right now. And the maintenance of the grave is not cheap also. Thats why many Catholic and Christian on my family started change the tradition when any person passed away. My mom and my dad also said that for a long time that they want to be burned and dont want to be buried. It will make us their children not get troublesome. And i agree with that idea too, i also said to my wife and also to my son after they understand that i want to be burned on creamatorium too. I dont need to be buried. And talking about this sad moment. Actually last year i have sad news too. My daughter is dead because me and my wife need to terminate the pregnancy. My Daugher suffering Anenchepaly. This is defect that cannot be fixed. My Daughter does not have cranium at all. Thats why i need to call to terminate the pregnancy since the result will same anyway, Being born and die or terminate and die. And i dont want to harm my wife too, it is better hurting the soul and heart than she might get bad accident during the pregnancy and ended with broken heart too. So, i think the soon the better. And after that we decided to burn my daughter body and spread the ass on the sea, i pick to spread on sea near my house right now, so i can going there any time that i want.
At first i need to buy flower first, so yeah lets go to the road and search spot near the grave, usually many people selling flower for tribute to the death.
After that we are going to Kenjeran Park. As i said before that this place is abandoned by the developer. And Sanggar Agung place is inside this Kenjeran Park. It is so pity that this place abandoned. If this place got maintain to be a good park maybe it can give great spot for vacation, and get some revenue from this place. And also this place is newar my house too.
You can look that this area is kinda like spooky area than Park that fun right, but sometimes this place getting used for kids playing with skateboard or bicycle. And also this spot getting used to Pre Wedding photo spot. This place when on sunny day will be really great for photo shoot. Especially when the tree is lusting. The light will penetrate softly to the road and gives really awesome light effect. Maybe someday i will take my toys to take picture in this place. I got some spot that really good with the light and good for the toy pose.
After that we are entering this Sanggar Agung place and parking outside the temple. Today is more crowded than usual. Maybe because it still month of celebration of the dead. And on chinese tradition there called Ceng Beng. That is like celebration of the dead and usually we sending them money paper, house paper toy, or flower like Old chinese tradition. I dont know this is tradition from Chinese people or tradition from Khong Hu Chu Religion. But, i know this tradition from i still kid and carry it until now. Thats why i want to give flower to my daughter in this place.
After that we are entering inside and i cannot take picture the hallway since there are many people praying inside and since i am not Khong Hu Cu religion, i cannot entering the main hall. So, i dont know much about this inside, basically we are circle the main hall.
Then we can see sea, and look at that!! it is little bit crowded today. Usually this place is really quite and more spooky when there are no people inside.
This dragon gate is the favourite background spot for taking picture. Especially you can see the sea behind the Dragon Statue.
At first my son afraid to be here, since he is kinda timid and afraid of height adn he said that he afraind to fall and drowning in the sea. But, i dont know after several times we going there, i think my son started to getting used with this area and started having brave to going near the edge and dare to throw the flower petal to sea. When he started to brave, in the other side, i am that afraid he will fall. Thats why i watching him behind and be ready if any bad thing happen.
After sending the flower, then me and my wife taking turn to sending prayer.
And then we are looking around and enjoying seeing people taking photo and my son can running around here since the open space is really wide. And yeah i can enjoying seeing sea. Even though this is not like the beautiful sea, but at least yep it still sea, the vibe, the smell, the sound of waves still showing that is still sea, if want to be better, just closing eyes and imagine others sea that really beautiful and just breath, taste the smell, hearing the wave, and feel the sea breeze.
After that we can see the tribute for Kwan Kong Statue, the God of Prosperity. Actually, i am fans of those story of Romance of Three Kingdoms, i knew that this Kwan Kong is the legend General that very loyal to his brother Liu Bei and Zhang Fei after they are drinking wine together in Peach Garden and make an oath that they will live and death together. And yeah they are died almost in the same time, Guan Yu as know as Kwan Kong first, then Zhang Fei, and the last is Liu Bei because he want to take revenge to WU after Guan Yu and Zhang Fei died because of Wu army. After admiring those statue, we decided to looking for food. Its time to lunch.
And yeah, overall this place is really nice spot if you need to take a break from boredom from daily routine and need escaping from busy world, and just sitting there enjoying sea breeze and smell of sea smell can reduce the anxiety and relieve the stress. Yeah sometimes when i am really tired with working and i need to find quite place i will asking my wife and my son to visiting our daughter and send tribute to her and yeah i can relieve stress a little bit too here.
