Hi, i am Arveno from Surabaya city Indonesia. I want to share about my vacation this time in my hometown city called Malang city. My hometown located on highland near mountain. And Batu city is tourism city. Many hotel and resort in this city. Many amusement park also in this city. My little favourite place is Zoo in this city called Batu Secret Zoo. This place is wide and really good place for walking.
And in this content i will divided into 2 part since this place is kinda huge. And after almost 2 years we did not visiting in this zoo, some place is removed and they added more mode in this zoo. Especially the newest one that called Drive Thru Mode.
This place is located at Batu city around 1 hours from my parents house. And that day i decided to staycation in hotel near this zoo. We need to enjoying the vibe in cold highland place since we are usually lived on the hot city near beach.
Actually i already shared it around 2023 or early 2024. We loved to go there. But i forgot how long we are not going there. I think yeah it is last year. And right now we are back to this place. And since today in my country is holiday season, the entrance ticket is kinda expensive. Around 11,5$/each person. while there were three of us so it will be 34-35$. I think it is better if i am booking at this zoo hotel. It cost 100$ but i can get free to this place that divided into 4 part in this place as free. Fyi, Batu Secret Zoo is divided into 4 part. The first part is The zoo it self, then comes Eco Green Park, then Animal Museum, and the last is Drive Thru zoo. And in this content i will share our package that is The Secret Zoo and Drive Thru Zoo.
In this part i will telling our experience on Secret Zoo. After paying the entry ticket we got paper bracelet and going inside. After that the first road is full with cage, primate cage. On both sides full of different kind of Primate.
There is so many species in this cage.
In this zoo, i can teaching my son how read and understanding the animals. And thats different than last year where my son just watching and stunned by looking that animals, this time my son learning about the animal,the form,the habbit, and he can read slowly about those animals.
My son really interesting to this marmoset. It is cute and adorable. really small primate.
And the last for entrance cage for apes is this apes. Kindaa dangerous if you put fingers in this cage. It will holded by the apes or even worse it can bite till the finger separated. Fortunately my son is tidy person so he will be cautious if he see the prohibition sign.
Then entering the outside area first. Basically we are going to moving circle around the area until going to ground since we are entering from high place. And then we can see the famous primate from Kalimantan Indonesia that having very big nose called Bekantan
This is the good time for taking this Bekantan picture. This is Bekantan Mother nursing her baby.
After that we carry on moving forward and seeing some kind of animals that are Wallaby from Papua the east side of Indonesia and there is the georgous bird called Rangkong Bird.
And then since this day is cloudy days, we can see the otter sunbathe, i think this otter trying to warming up his body temperature since in this place is really cold, especially the water.
Move on we can see the Meerkat Glass Cage and we can see from above. This animals is really funny. Since there are many people walking this animals trying to attract and i dont know maybe they are hoping we gives food or anything. But we cannot give this animals food, we can kicked out from this zoo if we caught giving food.
Move on in the left side there is Jaguar Cage and this Jaguar sleeping, and since the cage is really huge we just passed by this cage we can look at the other side. Carry on to the next cage.
I showing this animal to my son, since they are both alike when sleeping, cannot be interupted by any noise. Even though the place is very crowded and noisy, this animal still sleeping like a log.
Then we are passing the Dwarf Hippo in the left side and Black Swan cages on the right side.
After that we are circling around and passing through many cages
And the favourite one is when seeing Kalong or huge bat. We cannot to close in this cage. This Kalong urine is really dangerous if touching our eyes or our noses, it can burn our skin too. And this Kalong are above us. Thats why that kinda dangerous.
Then we can see Binturong sleeping on the corner of the cage.
Same with this lemur they are sleeping. I think they are nocturnal Animal that active time when dark.
Then we can see the Giant Ant Eater. Just one but really big animal.
And now we are already arrive in the below the surface. the next destination is Aquarium Side. But before that we can see the Llama Cage. Dont going near their cage if dont having any vegetables. You can get spitted by those animals when they are angry.
In the right side before entering Aquarium side there is cage for i dont remember what animals is this.
Before we are entering on Aquarium sites we taking some picture first.
Now my son can asking me to take his picture. And he can making his own style.
