Yesterday was my daughter
@tegoshei's 34th birthday. We always celebrate any special occasion simply with family and closest friends, and the same happened yesterday.
My closest siblings and their families couldn't make it because of prior commitments. However, they stayed up until midnight just to send their birthday greetings and wishes before going to sleep. We all live in different places, far away from each other. On the other hand, my daughter's male best friend and his family, who live in the same city as us, surprised her yesterday. They had already contacted me to coordinate the surprise, so I was the accomplice in this plan. Heheh!
They asked me what food I'd prepare. I already planned a week ahead to make one of my daughter's favorite pastas, carbonara, and just buy whole roasted chicken. Then, for the dessert, my husband and I planned to have a small cake from either Goldilocks or Red Ribbon. It was just a small one because we really prioritize our healthy diet, too. We paired it with coffee jelly, which is also her favorite. All these plans happened yesterday.
So yesterday morning, my daughter and my hubby went to church to light candles and offer a thankful prayer for another blissful year. I was left at home with the two fur babies and started cooking.
Then, in the afternoon, her best friend and his family came and brought some pork liempo. They are really a family to us, too. I'm really grateful for their genuine affection, especially now that they already have a cute and energetic son whom I consider my grandson. He's really affectionate to us, too.
He happily sang a birthday song for his mommy, Shei, and we enjoyed the food.

After eating, we enjoyed bonding with each other by chatting and matching Navee's energy. He gave us joyful vibes yesterday while playing with the two fur babies and with all of us, too. He was also enjoying his ice cream yesterday. And with that, my daughter enjoyed her birthday celebration a lot, too.
