Happy Mother's Day, beautiful mothers of this community of artisans and lovers of building love with their hands. Today I bring you another nice detail to give to the brave women of the family and friends.
This post was my next publication, but I am indisposed due to a strong flu, which made me delay the elaboration of these cute little details: they are 20 fridge ornaments, in order to give them to 20 of my friends. I finished them yesterday, but I will give them to them at a group meeting. My commitment was to get them out before Mother's Day with the intention of offering a new option for this special day, the alternative of which can include children in the making.
For these fridge magnets we need: skin-colored foami in different shades, scraps of foami, liquid silicone, scissors and other objects to decorate (optional).
Elaboration
1- Take a circle as a mold. I had a wooden circle that turned out to be a perfect size. I drew on the foami and cut it out. It's time to make the hair and the ornaments for the head. I drew the hair according to the size of the circumference and, after cutting out the figures, I made the hats.
2- The next step is to glue the hair and the hat on each circle to form the head, playing with the color of the hair and the skin. Decorate the hair that does not have a hat and put pearls on all the heads to simulate earrings.
3- Now, draw eyes and mouth on the face with the marker.Glue all the faces on a sheet of foami and cut out with a shape scissors all around the edge.
4- Cut out small rectangles and write the word “MOM” and, finally, glue a magnet on the back.
5- Ready to be highlighted in a good place.
The primary idea was to make an ornament with double function, that is, I would put a pin, safety pin or alpita to use it as a pin and a magnet so that, later, it would remain as an ornament for the fridge. But there were not enough hooks and I could not go out to buy them, so I made them, as I explained in the process.
I enjoyed the process of recreating the idea. Finished the project, I saved the ornaments to give them to my friends the day we can meet again, I think it will be next Saturday, at least, I think so. If I feel better before that day, I will buy the hooks to continue with the idea of the double functionality.

Feliz día, madres hermosas de esta comunidad de artesanos y amantes de construir amor con las manos. Hoy les traigo otro lindo detalle para obsequiar a las mujeres valientes de la familia y amistades.
Este post era mi próxima publicación, pero estoy indispuesta por una fuerte gripe, que me hizo retrasar la elaboración de estos lindos y pequeños detalles: son 20 adornos para nevera, con el objeto de entregarlos a 20 de mis amigas. Los terminé ayer, pero se los entregaré en una reunión de grupo. Mi compromiso era sacarlo antes del Día de las Madres con la intención de ofrecer una nueva opción para este día especial, cuya alternativa puede incluir a los niños en la elaboración.
Para estos imanes de nevera necesitamos: foami de color piel de distintos tonos, retazos de foami, silicón líquido, tijeras y otros objetos para decorar (opcional).
Elaboración
1- Sacar un círculo como molde. Tenía un círculo de madera que resultó una medida perfecta. Dibujé en el foami y recorté. Toca hacer el pelo y los adornos para la cabeza. Dibujé el pelo según el tamaño de la circunferencia y, luego de recortar las figuras, realicé los sombreros.
2- El siguiente paso es pegar el pelo y el sombrero en cada círculo para formar la cabeza, jugando con el color del pelo y de la piel. Decorar el pelo que no lleva sombrero y colocar perlas a todas las cabezas, para simular aretes.
3- Ahora, hay que dibujar ojos y boca en el rostro con el marcador. Pegar todas las caras en una lámina de foami y recortar con una tijera de formas por todo el borde.
4- Recortar pequeños rectángulos y escribir la palabra “MAMÁ” y, por último, pegar en la parte trasera un imán.
5- Listos para ser destacados en un buen lugar.
La idea primaria era hacer un adorno con doble función, es decir, le pondría un alfiler, imperdible o alpita para usarlo como prendedor y un imán para que, luego, quedara como adorno para la nevera. Pero los ganchos no eran suficientes y no podía salir a comprar, razón por la cual los elaboré, como ya expliqué en el proceso.
Disfruté el proceso de recreación de la idea. Terminado el proyecto, guardé los adornos para entregárselos a mis amigas el día que nos podamos reunir nuevamente, creo que será el próximo sábado, al menos, eso creo. Si me siento mejor antes de ese día, compro los ganchitos para seguir con la idea de la doble funcionalidad.
