We spend so much time trying to get rid of anxiety, but maybe that’s the real problem. The goal shouldn’t be to erase it completely. It should be to understand where it comes from and learn how to live with it.
Anxiety isn’t always the enemy. It can push us forward. It can remind us to prepare, to focus, to act. If we’re in debt, anxiety can push us to find a way out. If we have final exams, anxiety can push us to study harder. It’s not always a bad thing.
The real issue is that anxiety never truly goes away. There will always be something new to worry about. The moment we solve one problem, another one appears. So instead of fighting anxiety, we should accept it. Learn to deal with it.
The best question to ask ourselves is can I do something about it If the answer is yes, then take action. If the answer is no, then let it go. Worrying won’t change a thing. But knowing when to act and when to move on, that’s what really makes the difference.
