#982 - Lake Tabeo in Kabayan Benguet Shots for Friday.
Greetings, beloved Hiveans!
As Friday comes, remember: life isn’t about racing to the finish line but savoring the steps between. Pause now today. Let gratitude be our compass and kindness our currency. Plant seeds of joy in small moments and celebrate progress, not perfection. The world spins faster each day. Wherever you are, shine boldly, rest deeply and trust that even quiet efforts ripple outward. Here’s to a Friday that nourishes the soul. 🌍✨
Moving to our shot of the day, the morning air bit with a icy breath as we stepped out from the transient house we booked overnight our sandals wet over cold grass near Lake Tabeo. The world felt wrapped in a thick fog that blurred the outlines of the Benguet mountains. The lake itself was a mirror its surface still.
The fog clung to the sloped vegetable plantations. Rows of cabbages sprawled across the hills. The scent of damp earth and fresh greens in the air, fresh, sharp and clean. Occasionally a distant clang perhaps farming tools echoed through the valley, but mostly there was silence. Even the birds seemed to wait their chirps.
As we wandered, shadows stretched long and thin over the lake’s edge. My wife pointed to a spiderweb strung between two cabbage leaves in front of the transient. We laughed quietly in the vast quiet landscape.
By the time we left before eight in the morning, the fog began to lift, revealing the mountains with patches of pine forest and the farms on their sides. The cold temperature lingered but the world felt alive the unseen sun warming the day as we turned toward home with our hearts full of the morning’s magic.
