In this video, I discuss why I am not worried about the new reward pool being given out for Survival Mode.
As it stands, we already have quite a bit of SPS out in the ecosystem and many faucets that are distributing daily - modern/wild formats, license rewards, land, etc. The amount of inflation we would see every month vs the fully diluted circulating supply is less than half a percent.
Plus, most of the rewards are going to players who are heavily invested in the game already - both with SPS and cards. While they could choose to sell the SPS and dump on the market, we haven't seen that happen and I have no reason to believe it would begin anytime soon with SPS floating near it's all time low.
Sure, I can see a situation where maybe some players would sell that extra SPS at a lower target price or they would have more to sell when the time came - but I don't see that happening in the near future. With all of the exciting things the team is working on that will be out soon, I'm not worried about this new pool at all. If anything, we've seen how effective it has been to raise card values across the ecosystem.
