Well it's certainly been a wild couple of days for the Phillies. Bryce Harper recorded his
1000th R.B.I., José Alvarado got hit with an
80 game AND playoff suspension, and Sunday and Monday only added more interesting events.
On Monday, the day Alvarado received his suspension, starting pitcher Mick Abel had an epic MLB debut for the Phillies. Mick threw six scoreless innings while striking out nine batters. Mick was victorious against superstar pitcher Paul Skenes and the Phillies won

And oh yeah, the Phillies SWEPT the Pirates to officially win this particular Battle of PA.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JK2s_6uKxo&pp=ygUQcGhpbGxpZXMgcm9ja2llcw%3D%3D fairly easily. The Phils scored nine runs with a ridiculous seventeen hits. Alec Bohm, Edmundo Sosa and Kyle Schwarber all homered.
For Kyle though, it was far from his average dinger. It happened to be his 300th dinger of his great career! It's pretty outstanding to see him get this milestone. The man is an absolute icon in my opinion. His 300th homer was his 147th as a Phillie, the most he has with any team he's been on.
So yes, the vibes are pretty high other than the Alvarado suspension!
Tonight, Jesús Luzardo tries to go 5-0 in Colorado!
