Poems About You

life, love, and cycles, countless goes around
perfect sets, not alike, but complementary
collide, exchange matter
spread the word from up on high
Morse tattooed on the grooves
tic-tok tapped on the crests
reverberation echoes from deep in the well
eventually come around to a new way of thinking
but mismatched like your wholly socks
offer odd translations from within
worn on the outside, like a
backwards and inside out
space suit
you could have said you just wanted to be alone
without dressing yourself in styrofoam
that stuff never bio-degrades
now you are stuck immovable
forever aloof; but oh-so heroic
starstruck argonauts will write
poems about you
[Bared Golden Grasses]

bared golden grasses
prairie left over stubble
promises in saffron
Lip of Oblivion

lip of oblivion
poked in the ribs
forced to blow
raspberries; return
the joy it consumed
Affection Abbreviated

affection
abbreviated
with bars, silence
haunted by ghosts
attachment
avoidance
love's purgatory
