Oh gosh, I’ve been absent! It was a very busy time for me, but I’m back.
I had a wonderful Sunday. It started with a walk at the dog park with my poor old geriatric pooch, Zoey. That was followed by some yard work and chores around the house, and then some writing. Then I did some shopping at the hardware store with my sister. Then I took a nap, made dinner, and took another walk with my husband. A great day overall, and an awesome day for steps!
At 13, Zoey is moving slow, and her hind legs don’t work like they once did. But she is hanging in there. We had a very nice walk.
The yard work primarily involved using my leaf blower to collect about a million little helicopters that have fallen from our giant maple tree.
In the following picture they are covering the driveway. It’s hard to capture just how many there are or how widely spread they are!
But I did manage to collect and bag them!
I’m very happy with my garden after weeks and weeks of work!
The second walk of the day with my husband was on our favorite local trail.
It was a perfect late spring evening except for the haze in the air caused by wildfire smoke coming from fires in Canada.
The last phase of the walk before we turn around to return home is the lake.
It had a slightly eerie purple hue to it from the fire smoke.
