Reflections of a harbor - watercolors on paper

Hello everyone, dear Hivers friends, and welcome back to my blog. Today I return to share the subject I love most to paint in watercolors: seascapes. Perhaps it's because I was born and raised in a seaside city, Naples, or perhaps because the sea evokes feelings and memories that other landscapes don't. So I imagined this glimpse of a harbor with reflections and lots of bright lights. I tried to give the landscape a sense of melancholy and strength at the same time, but also to leave plenty of room for the viewer's imagination by leaving some parts incomplete.

Riflessi di un porto - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi torno a condividere il soggetto che amo di più da dipingere ad acquarello, il paesaaggio marino. Forse perchè sono nato ed ho vissuto in una città di mare, Napoli, forse perchè il mare mi evoca suggestioni e ricordi che altri paesaggi non mi danno. Così ho immaginato questo scorcio di porto con riflessi e molte luci chiare. Ho cercato di dare al paesaggio malinconia e forza allo stesso tempo ma anche molto spazio alla fantasia di chi guarda lasciando delle parti incomplete.
