It was one of those quiet days at home when my little niece started to feel bored. No cartoon videos could entertain her anymore. You know that look on a kid’s face, like she had already watched and played with everything. Coincidentally, I also had an errand to take care of downtown, so I decided to bring her along with me. And just like that, we headed downtown for a short trip on my brother's pedicab (pedal cab).

She really doesn't know how to smile in front of the camera when you tell her to, lol.

Our first stop was an ATM to withdraw some cash. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on our side because the machine was unavailable. I stood outside the building, thinking about where to go next, since my brother had just dropped us off and left to do something, planning to come back later. That’s when my niece pointed out the toy store located on the upper floor of the building. The moment she saw it, she immediately wanted to go inside and buy a toy. Good thing I had some extra cash in my wallet.

Inside the shop, she happily walked around, checking every corner to decide which toy to buy, as if she were choosing something very important. This wasn’t new to me. Every time we stop by that mall, she always ends up buying something. After a while, she spotted a cute ukulele with an Elsa and Anna Frozen design. She looked so happy and was even excited to take the toy out of the box before paying.

After that, her uncle arrived to pick us up, and we went to the municipal gym to try another ATM. On the way, we saw Christmas decorations being set up along the streets, which made me even more excited for Christmas. The Misa de Gallo already started here in the Philippines just this morning. It's the day when everyone gets even more excited and looks forward to making their wishes come true by completing the nine Misa de Gallo until Christmas!

Luckily, the ATM at the municipal gym was working and had cash, so I was able to withdraw some money. With that sorted out, we headed to the market to buy some food and bread and finish our errands before going home.

We ended the day heading back home with my niece carrying yet another new toy. Honestly, if we pass by that shop every week, she’ll probably get a new toy every week too, lol. Remember we went to this shop last week to buy something for their Christmas Party, but she also insisted on buying a toy for herself.

But seeing her happy and no longer bored made this little trip totally worth it. 😊
Thanks for your time.
